Matt Carroll played 40 minutes. Should tell you all you need to know. That and they allowed the awful Wizards, with their awful shot selection, to shoot 53% from the field.

Not gonna lie, I kind of feel bad for Diop, even though he makes 6.9 mil to do that.

Anyways, why in the hell did Dallas give Desagan Diop a 32 million dollar contract? lol

Why the hell did the Knicks give Jerome James a 30 million dollar contract? Answer: There's a lot of dumb *** GM's in the NBA.

76ers inquire about Stoudemire. I swear if we bring this no defense, no rebounding, bad knees bum in to Philadelphia... Please tell me we learned from Glenn Robinson, Chris Webber, Elton Brand...

I do not like the Heat.

But they will bring an intensity to the NBA playoffs like this league has likely never seen. When it matters their defense will click. And they likely will blow through the East ( sorry R&R)

LOL, and he would still be the best player on your team the instant he put on a 76er uniform. Luckily for you i dont want anyone on Philly in a deal for Amare.

Rose had a wide open Hamilton in the corner. Looked right at him too and said "No thanks, I'd rather throw up a terrible hook shot from the FT line"

I would hope so considering he shot an awful hook shot from the FT line with a wide open player right next to him.

Good, complaining about Amare's uninsured contract when you have Brand's creaky body is pretty funny.

Why is it that the Refs seem to have such a strong investment in helping along the Bulls, especially down the stretch? 4 bad calls in a row vs. Miami in the last minute. Really?

Anyway...Debrick Rose 11-28..and 1-6 with Lebron Guarding him in the last 3 minutes.

Unless of course, you can find me somebody else in a NBA game, jump over a dude to dunk it. (Vince Carter still has the best dunk of all-time over that 7 foot dude in the Olympics)

Except that Brand is shooting .492 from the field as a jump shooter, and is one of the best man post defenders in the league. Amare is terribly ineffiecient this year, and still provides 0 defense and 0 rebounding. Either way it's irrelevant since the 76ers don't want Stoudemire. They're just throwing it out there that they're shopping.

The same amare that doesnt rebound is averaging 8.4RPG to Brands 6.7RPG. Amare is a career 53% shooter and now he has no PG so hes down a few points. Even last year with average PG play he was over 50% from the floor. Brand hasnt been an effective offensive player in years.

Forgetting about the fact I am Knicks fan I would take Amare and not think twice about it even before Amare was a Knick.

It's not about who the best player is here. It's about Stoudemire having maybe the worst contract in the NBA right now. Like I said, been there, done that. Glad he's not on my team, and glad to find out the Sixers aren't actually interested in Stoudemire. **** had me scared as hell when I seen the headline since these new owners have talked a lot about acquiring a star, enough to the point where it wouldn't have surprised me if they allowed the Knicks to *** rape us the same way the Nuggets did the Knicks. Get a star in FA, or don't get one at all. Trading for one rarely works out.

That doesn't really count. He would of signed there regardless. A sign and trade just made it better for both teams by giving the Heat more salary cap flexibility, and the Cavs draft picks and a TPE.

well..yeah..but the Heat themselves have a pretty good track record of trading for stars.

They emptied out the roster for Alonzo Mourning, and then made another trade for Tim Hardaway. That worked out okay, it made the franchise relevant.

They then traded for SHaquille Oneal. Won a championship.

Yet, the best trade they ever made was a two parter. They traded SHAQ for Marion, then sent Marion to Toronto for Jermaine Oneal. That created the cap space they used to sign Bosh and James.

The 76ers traded cash for The Doctor once upon a time. They traded for Wilt Chamberlain. And they traded for Theo Ratliff and Mutombo which were keys to our success in the Larry Brown years. It happens. But more often than not, it doesn't work out as much as the team had hoped. And in this case, trading for Stoudemire would be a very bad move.
