    On the "Threes" front...

Before playing us..Dorrell Wright had made 1 three. He hit 6 of 9 vs. the Heat. Before playing us..Austoin Day had hit 1 three all year...he then went 4-8 vs. the Heat.

it is a LOCK that some scrub somewhere will pop up with a huge game from Three against us.

I am setting the Line...you tell me which "scrub" goes nuts from three:

    Landry Fields +250
    Mike Bibby +200
    Toney Douglas +150
    Iman Shumpert EVEN
    Josh Harrelson -145
    Bill Walker -175
    Steve Novak -200

I will even call the number...Bill Walker will go 4-9 from three. That's the winner.

    let's go.

call your scrub and his numbers.

Amare can't be amare without a pg. it doesn't matter if melo plays or not, he's still a pick and roll player with no pg capable of playing pick and roll ball effectively on the roster. The closest thing to a pick and roll player on this roster is fields and he's a small foward.

Without melo heat by at least 10.
With melo heat by a buck or two.

Not even the Knicks fans on RealGM are homering it up anymore. That says all you need to know. Carmelo is the reason for their mess, not Stoudemire. Need to fire that GM.

Not at all. Amare was the one half-assing it because his panties git ruffled by the CP3 for STAT trade rumor a few months back. Only someone who doesnt watch the Knicks would actually have that opinion. Melo has been the only reason that offense hasnt been completely pathetic. They dump the ball in Melo's hands when theres 5 seconds to go on the shot clock and no one can create their own shot. They dump the ball in Melo's hands when they need a basket. They dump the ball in Melo's hands when theyre getting blown out. They put it in Melo's hands when they realize Amare looks lost out there without a PG and trying to co exist with Chandler. Sorry if thats harsh but your post could not be more wrong

Should I tell you the Knicks record with Carmelo and the Knicks record without Carmelo? And the Nuggets record with and without the last 2 years? Hint, the Knicks were better without Carmelo, and so are the Nuggets. Gallinarri and Wilson Chandler are better than one Carmelo. And let's not even forget the Knicks had the PG they needed to run the pick and roll. Raymond Felton was averaging 17 points and 9 assists in 54 games. That's all star caliber. The Knicks would be much better off if they never traded for Carmelo, and replaced D'Antoni with a coach who understands the importance of defense. They would of been just as productive offensively (probably even more so without Carmelo being a black hole) and would of had the pieces to be a great defensive team granted they still drafted Shumpert and still signed Chandler. And they would also have kept their 2014 1st round pick, and a solid backup C in Mozgov.

So yes, Amare might be struggling this year, but he wasn't last year when he actually had a PG. Meanwhile Carmelo is jacking 20 shots a game shooting under 40% from the field. Just terrible.

And what is Felton doing without D'Antoni and Karl? Shooting 37%? Yep.

You missed the point entirely. Carmelo is not asking for 20 shots a game. his teammates are basically asking him to bail them out.

Your scenario with Wilson Chandler and Gallo being better then Melo wouldnt hold because Chandler would still be in China now because of the lockout. George Karl is one of the best offensive minds in the game. Im crediting him with Gallo taking it up a level. But like I said last year, I knew Gallinari would be a star and hes becoming just that. I agree they shouldnt have traded Gallo but for different reasons. Mine are due to a certain owning butting his big nose in where it didnt belong instead of letting a GM with 30 years of experience do his job.

See, the problems with your explanation of things are things I already alluded to bro. The Knicks have no depth, in large part because of the Anthony trade. They also lack proper spacing and no jumpshooters or PG both of which are needed to run the D'Antoni offense.

The Nuggets are successful because when healthy they go a legit 10 deep even now without Felton. Not too many teams can say that. It works well during the regular season to play that style though the playoffs are more about your stars.

As far as the Melo, Amare debate Ill say this. Neither is as good as they should be. Amare is very inconsistent in the paint and not a reliable scorer, Melo being in the lineup forces the hand of Antoni to give him the ball and let him play one on one. Sect is exactly right, they are moving the ball very very well and the Knicks really fked themselves by getting Melo too early and sacraficing some very good role players. At this point if NY is going to keep both stars they are going to have to get lucky and find a quality PG and a legitimate 3 point threat.

The answer is simple...come march 1 or thereabouts you take the bailout Orlando is supposedly offering you. Chandler and Amare for D12. Use the open cap for Deron. Fill it in with a stretch 4 who can rebound. You then have a defensive mainstay, a PG who can create and a go to scorer. Thats how you build a team. Your 2, Shumpert is a slasher and can play D and hopefully your 4 can rebound and shoot.

I'm 100% sure it would have been a blowout with Melo. Those three balls are the only thing that kept the Knicks alive. With Melo at least half of those 3's never happen.
