http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2012/01/joe-philbin-knows-packers-staff-is-off-limits.html This will be interesting.
Fine by me - while talented there are several that are also being interviewed or mentioned as a "next hot thing". I would rather Philbin be able to create a staff that will be able to remain in place for more than a year or two.
Winston Moss didn't get the job in Oakland so we shall see if he gets the DC job. My favorites for the Coordinators: OC-Mike Sherman, Ben McAdoo DC-Winston Moss, Joe Whitt, Darren Perry, Kevin Koyle
Mike McCarthy: Joe, I'd really appreciate it if you didn't take any of the guys off my staff. Joe Philbin: Mike, I'd really appreciate it if you guys didn't franchise tag Matt Flynn or Jermichael Finley MM: Done deal.
ahhh. I missed that. yeah, definitely too soon..... and tasteless..... even for my standards. lol. Regardless, still never too soon to pork a Tri Delt.
IMO, it will always be too soon when it comes to that tragedy. I didn't get the joke about Kevin Bacon and a Tri Delt. Only college movie I can recall seeing him was Animal House and he never got to do any porking.
The Packers won't be stopping a position coach from moving on for a coordinator's job, so what do you think of this idea to get Sherman and McAdoo both? Sherman's main coaching experience as an assistant was as OL coach. He did that for ten yrs or so. IMO, it is going to be hard to find a quality experienced NFL OL coach. So, we make Sherman Asst Head Coach/OL, and McAdoo the OC.
Are Tri Delts known for being kind of loose and slutty? I cannot say I ever porked one, or beefed one for that matter. Can you arrange a few Tri Delts for me to hook up with?
Well Philbin, you are no longer a part of that organization and if you would like to stick with the Dolphins family, which you are now signed with, then by all means, rape them if you feel the need. F the pack
Ryan Tannehill is also a pretty raw player who will need several years of development, by which time the defense will need to be at minimum retooled. Tannehill doesn't make much sense for this team, IMO. He's more suited for a team looking to develop a QB, preferably behind an established starter; or a team that's in complete rebuild mode and wants Tannehill to rack up experience now in preparation for future success.
They didn't get branded "Tri Delta, everyone else has" or "Fly the friendly thighs" for nothing. lol. I'm not sure if there are any Tri Delts in whatever jungle you're presently camped out in. So this'll have to do for now:
Yup. Philbin said this is going to be his last job, and if he wants any Packers assistants and can hire them within the parameters of league rules, then F the Pack. You can't serve two masters Joe. Are you a member of the Packers or the Dolphins organization? If any of them had their contracts run out, then sign them. If they are being offered coordinator jobs, the Pack won't garner good will with their staff if they block them from leaving. Legally a team does not have to allow a position coach under contract to leave to become a coordinator elsewhere. That is still a lateral move according to the rules, though for pay and responsibility considered by coaches themselves as a promotion. Only those with expired contracts or a promotion to Asst Head Coach would be things the Pack couldn't prevent.
Packers generally do not let assistants leave so easily. They view things a bit differently and see the organization as a family rather then as a just a football team. Wouldnt be surprised if guys like Moss, McAdoo etc were off limits.
Moss is asst HC, so he won't leave unless for a HC job or his contract runs out. McAdoo though is just the TE coach, and I think if he has the chance to be an OC, or Perry or Greene a DC, they won't stand in their way. Even though that is considered a lateral move. If they balk at that, and say JP really wants McAdoo or Perry, he can offer them the title of OC or DC/Asst HC. That would be a promotion and legally the Pack cannot prevent them from leaving.
I dont want Tannyhil, he is so overrated.l Sherman ight be ok as a coordinator but his offense collapse in the 2nd of games .. I think we can do better . hire Larry Coker , or Mike Shula , or Huston Nutt. another good name is Dan McCarney former Iowa State coach he does know how to get a oline ready .
I thought you were supposed to want more for your kid? Besides, even though I'm Johnny Pencildick, you are still happy going to sleep spooned by me every night.
I heard the Raiders interviewed multiple Packers asst.s which makes it hard for me to believe that would happen if they didnt have the chance to leave.
yes, i do want more for our kid. I just don't want you to get your expectation up for the young lad, esp. if it is going to be you donating the clam chowder
