    Mike Zimmer!

-He's been a defensive coordinator for the last 11 years, which means he is experienced and ready for the next challenge. This experience will also allow him to contact a pool of possibilities to fill out the coaching staff.
-He has experience in either 43 or 34 fronts, which makes him adaptable to the personnel he has.
-He is highly thought of by Bill Parcells and in turn Jeff Ireland.
-He was the last coach to interview this week and we haven't interviewed a candidate since.
-As soon as the Bengals were knocked out of the playoffs, the Dolphins contacted him about their opening and he interviewed on Tuesday.
-Ross has said they will continue the search and that word is an "unknown candidate" will interview tomorrow. I think that's an attempt to save face. Why wouldn't they announce the candidate's name?
-By Friday of next week Zimmer will be the next Head Coach. It doesn't mean they won't interview someone who shakes free this weekend.
-This is my opinion and shouldn't be assumed as fact, although you may feel free to do so. :tongue2:

Wouldn't be my #1 pick but I could live with it...as long as we get Matt Flynn. Zimmer I'm sure with his connections could bring in solid coordinators.

Matt Flynn + Justin Blackmon + Brandon Marshall + Reggie Bush - Now were talking!!you got that right but if we get stuck with bowles then we dont get jack **** for we will continue to get average players at best.

Just a heads up, early draft previews have a lot of front offices liking Baylor WR Kendall Wright ahead of Blackmon. That could be good or bad depending on which player someone wants but Blackmon wouldnt be bad at all :)

Could never happen. Philbin, Zimmer and Toub all have those roles on current teams. the only way they can move is if they are given a promotion. So they would need some kind of title such as Assistant HC to make that move. You are limited to how many Assistants a HC can have. Sorry to be that guy

    So what?
Besides, chances are Philbin won't be taking a HC job now.
I think we were sniffing through the right section of forest, we just pissed on the wrong tree the first time.

It doesn't much matter who we get.

If we got a savvy intelligent but weak armed QB, even a conservative oline coach with no HC experience could coach us to a division title.

Sounds like Kellen Moore. Could get him in about the 5th or 6th round.

Yeah good idea, let's pick who we want... and to boik, he obviously wasn't serious about these coaches, it adds to the thread...

If Zimmer is the head coach of the Dolphins next year, they will end the season with less than 8 wins. Within three years the Dolphins will be looking to hire another HC and Ross will still be saying that Ireland is not the problem. Yet Ireland is the problem and the Dolphins are going to remain a bottom tier team as long as he is the teams GM and Ross is the teams owner.

The only chance Dolphin fans have of seeing a winning organization in the next decade is if Ross sells the team to someone who actually knows how to run a NFL franchise.

Let me tell you something, you know what I'am fu^#ing tired of, and have been tired of for decades...Our team that does not play with any real passion or fire...We hire Mike Zimmer and that all will change, he's got enough passion in him to overcome the morgue these poor players have to play in on sundays..

Could you imagine what level of passion this man would have for us if we were to give him his first oppurtunity to lead his own men, and be in charge of his own team...That mother grabber will bleed aqua man, I'am tellin yeah, Mike Zimmer is what this team has been missing for decades..

This man has much depth, has been thru many obstacles in life, and has dealt with such pain, he's hard man, real hard, and let me tell ya this, your gonna respect the man, and not only is he gonna make you play your *** off every time you step on the field, your gonna be real humble when you leave it..

This is the kind of man you need to play in this town and in that stadium...I thought Parcells was the guy to instill the right values into our men, but he didn't give a sh&6 about us, this man if given the job, will bleed for us..

Our teams strength right now is all about defense, this man can take them to another level, now we can add a couple explosive additions to the offense, balance sh&^ out, and you know, and I know, how close talent wise we are to competing for the playoffs..

When Sparano got fired, I said, lets give the big three a run, if it didn't work out, Zimmer would be the guy I wanted, well, here the hell we are man, let's do this..
