Like we have anything better to speculate or talk about until April. Bunch of two pump chumps here. Enjoy the hold out while it lasts, don't be so quick to finish. We have a full scale phins soap opera on our hands and a clean slate at the end of it. I say enjoy the ride, rather than validate the **** heads in the media.
After his interview with the Dolphins last Tuesday, Fisher then went to Denver to meet with Stan Kroenke, and then went over the weekend to tour the Rams facilities and meet with Sam Bradford. His interview process didn't conclude until Sunday, and he spent the remainder of his weekend traveling. Fisher's decision-making process didn't begin in earnest until Monday. That's why. Your problem is that you've been caught up in the media's (generally uninformed) statements that Fisher's Dolphins interview was just a courtesy, that his extended STL interview process was the real deal, and that him going to the Rams was a foregone conclusion. They spent days stuck on that talking point, with Jay Glazer going so far as to say that Fisher to the Rams was all but locked-in. Mike Silver was the only person tapping the brakes, apparently because he has direct access to Jeff Fisher. Michael Lombardi said that Fisher would take 24-48 hours to decide, meaning Monday and Tuesday. Now we have word that Fisher is apparently waiting on final offers from both the Rams and Dolphins. To his point of view, the teams are holding things up, not him.
I agree that the wait is no big deal, but you don't really believe that no offers have been made, do you? Because I find that very hard to believe.
I'm just citing the report's existence, not editorializing it. If Fisher was indeed going to decide by Tuesday evening, and it's now almost Friday, then it stands to reason the issue is something other than Fisher. The "no offers yet" report DOES make sense from that perspective, but I agree it's hard to believe.
