Gilbride promised to stay aggressive after the NYG got up by 21 last week and got too conservative letting Dallas back in the game
Just non clutch. My take away from the games so far is the team who generate the best pressure from their 4 defensive linemen shuts down the opponent.
That's the difference in this game. Early on NY was getting stuffed and Eli was under constant pressure. Then Eli made a couple plays while being pressured and suddenly the run opened up for them. Statistically Ryan looked like he was having the better game, but Eli was making that elite type of difference. Ryan has never made that jump. If you want to see what it looks like to improve a team around a non-elite QB, Atlanta and their no playoff wins is what it looks like. Of course we all saw this in the Wanny years. You can't blame Atlanta though. Ryan was a guy with the chance to be an elite guy that just never made the jump.
Thats been the Giant recipe for a long time. Credit Spagnuolo/Coughlin on that. Advocated drafting Kiwanuka when they already had Osi-Strahan-Tuck and then Reese added JPP last year.
Exactly, which is something the Dolphins do...not...do. We draft a guy according to need, we do not stockpile players at any position but Cornerback. The assumption also is "so and so was great last yr, they will be great this yr!" Uhm, no, not always, sometimes you even have to add more talent at positions that cannot fail or your season is screwed.
Damn, that was the most fun I've had watching a game in a long time. The Giants sure know how to endear themselves to me.
Im just happy for the NYG D. They were ridiculed and maligned all year and played their best when it mattered most vs NYJ, Dallas and ATL. Knocking out 2 Ryans from the playoffs and then a playoff win...thats cool.
Anybody watching Dan interview the broncos on cbs? He asks John Fox about the importance of the running game, and Fox responds "Well you know that the run game is a quaterbacks best friend". Dan responds "I never really liked those guys anyway". That cracked me up. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
the ball bounced off the goal posts and ended up at the 20 all by itself... that's a sign! God is watching...
Yes, but i forget how long the streak was. Denver is going to have to throw the ball well to win this game. Losing Craig Kuper at G is going to hurt their run game.
hah... Big Ben doesn't need to step up in the pocket... he just wings it out there all by his arm... he's ELITE!
how are there that many Steelers fans at a game in Denver? wow... they are the best travelling team in the league.
steelers defense making it look easy peasy. at this rate these guys won't even be tired after the game
Horrible game plan by Denver so far. Steelers are forcing them to spread the field, but still seem reluctant to trust Tebow. Tebow throwing is their only chance.
James Harrison is such a dirty-playin POS. If I coached his opposing offense, I'd scheme to injure him at the beginning of every game we square off. Strike first rather than be the victim, that'd be my strategy.
