Not entirely true, Tony Stark will be doing a scene after the credits similar to the one in Iron Man...

Spoiler: Tony will be walking into a bar where a very drunk General Ross is and tells him, "I think I have a way to deal with your problem".
Or something like that... Hightlight to read above.

Guess no one liked my manips... LOL!

I always thought that Venom should be either Diesel or Johnny Mesner (hes in tears of the sun and anacondas 2) Topher Grace just pussified that whole series.

I mean seriously we know spiderman is a dork so they got the biggest dork (Maguire) they could find to play him. I get that.

MJ is supposed to be a smokin hot redhead. Dunst? Are you kidding me? BOOOOOOooooo shes a terrible choice for that role.

Now they get to Venom whos supposed to be a huge badass mofo and we get the scrawny kid from that 70s show? wtf was Sam Raimi thinking? he needs to stick with hobbits, dwarfs etc. and leave comic books alone. Having Grace as Venom put a nail in the coffin IMO for that series. I could really care less about any more of those movies unless someone decides to spinoff Venom and do a serious remake of the character.

You guys have to be joking. Before Venom is Venom, he's Eddie Brock, journalist. Anyone who can buy The Rock or Vin Diesel as a journalist, raise your hand.

    Not everybody at once.

EDIT: Of course, Venom is a symbiote that bods with Peter Parker, then Eddie Brock, but you get the point.

Mesner could of done it, Id rather watch Diesel suck at being a journalist for 10mins and be a convincing Venom for 35mins then watch Grace suck horribly as a journalist and Venom for 45mins.

at this rate, Rami's dumbass would probably cast Jake Gylenhal or Ashton Kutcher or some other clown as Carnage

Honestly I like what they did with Venom. Instead of making him some cool looking thug with spidey powers, which all venom is really, Raimi turned him into the anti-parker. What if Parker didn't have great responsiblity. Grace did a good job as a slimeball who got the powers and ran with it. Honestly the only thing wrong with Venom in the movie is the fact that he had to share time with sandman who could of just been a thug and have the same effect with him instead of trying to make me care about him.

MJ is not only supposed to be smoking hot, she is supposed to be super strong popular girl with a heart of soul. A woman who puts up this shell to protect herself from her weak upbringings. I thought Dunst portrayed her as the average damsel in distress, which MJ isn't. In fact they went there with all three movies.

What brought down Spider-Man 3 was the Sandman. They tried too much with him.

I disagree, Grace just looked like a wimpy little loser throughout the whole movie. If they made Parker a muscle-bound goon wouldnt you have something to say about that? They just changed that character way too much and took away a lot of his edge and image. Grace acted like he was right back in that 70s show.

MJ was a model in the comics and in the cartoon they def made her look waaaay out of Parkers league. Sandman actually looked pretty cool imo but he did take away too much from the other characters. Not that anyone needed to see that ******ed dance sequence for 10 mins.

I really do give up on this series if they keep Rami. I think hes way too nerdy to get into dark characters like venom and carnage.

dude I am sorry but carnage is one of the lamest characters in comics. He is just a psychopath that is big and red. Anyone can play him. All he has to do is enjoy killing people.

MJ was a model in the comics and she was a party girl early on. You learn later on that she puts on this strong outer party shell to protect the fact that she was beaten as a child. She is a very strong character in the comic books and what they just did to her is a tragedy.

It is different. They make changes to fit into the context of a movie. The story of Venom is that the dude hates Parker and Spider-Man. That is it. Whatever else they do to the character is really up to interpretation. Venom is HUGE in the comic books because they can make people HUGE!!! Something that does not look right in movie settings. It would be like being upset that Wolverine was 6-2 in the movies when the dude is about 5-6 in the comic books. Venom in story terms is one of those characters that people like more for their look than anything else. I believe it is the black costume, which in comic book history terms was not supposed to last for more than a year. It was just too popular for them to get rid of it.

Topher Grace was perfect for what Raimi wanted and really did not take away from Venom. He hated parker, check and he hates spider-man, check. The only big difference was the fact that in the comic books Eddie Brock was a weight lifter with anger issues. They did not take away from what made venom venom. What they did do was not set him up as venom enough. They barely even used venom at all.

They Harry story part was pretty cool I thought.

If it's like Robert Kirkman's short lived Ant-Man run, I'm all over that!!! Edgar Wright could do an Ant-Man story like that some great justice. Now if they take it all serious, then it could be quiet corny.

I swear, everything Kirkman does is GOLD!!!

I think you might want to go back and watch a few more Sam Raimi movies if you seriously think he can't do dark characters.

The problem isn't Sam, it's Avi and the Marvel bandwagon that want to make sure all the little kids can see the movie. It's hard to go too dark when you have to cater to the mommy values.

Im judging him on what hes done with the series so far and the villians theyve chosen. He was also the one that said he particularly disliked Venom so I would think he cared a lot less who played him, obviously he didnt care about the character enough to give him more then 30mins. I think you could of made Venom more vicious and not pissed off too many mommys.

Im gonna have to talk to these damn mommys about their ridiculous values. :tongue2:

The problem was he was forced to use venom. I guess the idea probably was that Sandman couldn't sell a movie. So he had the movie written and then was pretty much forced to include Venom.

Not to say I do not like venom.

Darkman is a pretty dark movie if you have ever seen it. The first Evil Dead was very dark. Raimi can do dark.

From what I remember, the movie studio basically forced him to use Venom - as a reason to sell toys. It was originally supposed to be Spidey vs. Sandman, without all of the other stuff tacked on. As it was, Raimi was asked to do too much with the movie, and the results didn't work. The pacing is completely off, and Venom feels like a stupid afterthought, not Parker's greatest nemesis. Not to mention that Bad Spider-man = Emo Spider-man, and that there was way too much singing for a Spider-man film. I love the first two films immensely, but the third one just fell flat.

    Hmm..

I would like to see Bruce Willis or Matt Damon as Capt America.

Ant man...WTH? No thanks...geez..who is his enemy the Orkin Man?

Spider man was a member of the Defenders and briefly an Avenger...the same comic that it was said of "...rumor has it no one could finish the whole think , you would literally be clawing your eyes out to make it stop before the last page..."

I also had heard that Marvel had a one shot Wolverine film coming out...

For me, I'd pass on Thor, though I could see that character making a great film just on CGI alone, "Thor throws hammer and skyscraper collapses.."

But the Marvel Character I always enjoyed was Jim Starlin's Adam Warlock.....

Adam Warlock is way, way too obscure and convoluted for a movie. No one would even know he's a comic character. Dr. Strange has a better shot, IMO.

And I believe the Wolverine movie comes out next year.

As long as Thor fights the Living Monolith, that could make a good film.

Could be similar to the problem the studio thought they'd encounter with GI Joe. By making it such a patriotic, pro American, character it'd turn off foreign audiences.

Heck no, a Thor movie will be so sweet. They've mentioned they want it to be their LOTR, so I take that to mean it will take place in Asgard and not Midgard (Earth). I think a movie set in Asgard with Thor (I assume it will be Donald Blake) having to fit Ulik and some troll armies as the minor villain and eventually having to battle Ymir as the major villain would be something amazing to watch. Then they could of course at the end of the film show how Loki has manipulated the whole situation and started these battles.

No the problem is, can Matthew Vaughn give us a movie on par with what Jackson and WETA gave us in LOTR. It will be a HUGE project, but he's at least had a primer in a fantasy movie with "Stardust". I haven't seen "Stardust" yet, but hopefully he learned a lot from doing that movie and it helps with Thor.

Cloak and Dagger were one of my favorites growing up. That could seriously be cool if done correctly, but it will never have the drawing power of the main heroes. I guess that Marvel just wants to keep trying to cash in while the iron's still hot.

I think they should get with some animation studios and do some seriously cool full-length 3D animated movies for some of these characters. Some of the rendering in the recent Marvel games have been great and the voice acting pretty good. I like Ultimate Alliance a lot and thought a bunch of those cut scenes were great.

The movie that I think would have been awesome is the long rumored Deadpool movie. During Blade 3 filming, Ryan Reynolds, said that marvel approached him and said they wanted him as Deadpool. He would be perfect for the part and I would love to see it.

Really really good show. McKidd was great in it. I dont really know a lot about Thor so I cant speak as to whether he'd be a good match for the role, but he's a good actor and can pull off an action hero type well imo.

I hope they go the route of the comics and have him fighting the Nazi's and comeback modern day to fight some more after being frozen. We're running out of good Nazi movies now that Indy Jones is retiring.

This is Kevin McKidd as the character Wulfila in the movie The Last Legion. He would need to do some heavy training but I believe he could pull it off.

Jim Carey was going to be cast as Carnage I read somewhere, but something happened with him or the script. Kevin Beacon was the first choice for Venom. Not that he was much of an improvement over Topher.

If they follow the blueprints laid by the Ultimates, then it'll be the latter. They'll show Cap on his last mission of WW2, how he got frozen in ice, and a Stark Industries boat finding him in the mid-Atlantic.

As for who should play Cap... I think no matter who they pick, we'll hear how it's the wrong guy.

As for Capt America, I think Eric Banna could of been good for it if he wasnt already in that first Hullk movie.
