Miami always seems to lose out on the big time players and we need to get a bigtime ball handler. so i am wondering could Miami draft rb Richardson if he is where we end up picking ? I am not sure I can by that possibility but I would not mind if we did. i think itstime to get the best available player instead of taking need position only. here are my three positions that i am praying for.

#1 make a move for QB LUCK he i sworth the very little draft picks we have left anyways because where we're drafting we are somewhat screwed aanyhow.

#2 trade up for Blackmon and then get qb Matt Flynn only problem is we dont have anything to trade.

#3 draft tightend , then go ot , og, ot and a defensive end or linebacker.

by the way it was announced that Landry Jones is returning to OU next fall so scratch another qb off your list.

I hope we draft a HB at some point personally (I like Ballard a lot), but not particularly interested in seeing us spend higher than a 4th. Hell, if we're convinced Richardson could be as good as AP and we have 0 faith in the QBs left on the board I wouldn't even be too upset with that selection (though I'd prefer something else).

With that said, even if we thought Richardson was like AP I can't see us taking him at 8 or 9.

I don't see us drafting a running back. At least high. Bush and Thomas look like a nice 1-2 punch.

As for your other points, if we're going to trade up it will be for a QB, not Blackmon. Now if Blackmon is there when we pick (doubtful) then I'd consider him, but I rather get a pass rusher if the QB we want isn't there.

Yea, if we're going to be offering enough to trade up for Blackmon then we're willing to give up enough to move up for a QB.

No way Blackmon lasts to us though. I'd consider Jeffrey for sure though (if he shows reasonably well at the combine and/or pro day, both in times and physique).

Yeah, I could see us drafting a running back. Just not in the first, second, or third round.

I'm no draft expert, but I'd like to see our draft shake out something like this.

    1. Alshon Jeffery - WR, South Carolina
    2. Dwayne Allen - TE, Clemson
    3. Cordy Glenn - G, Georgia
    4. Vick Ballard - RB, Mississippi St.
    5. Mister Cobble - NT, Kentucky
    6. Miles Burris - OLB, SDSU
    7. Jerrell Young - S, USF

Don't be surprised if we draft a T (Reiff or Martin) with the 1st round pick.

Not sure Glenn lasts that long, and I'd be worried about our pass rush still, but I'd be ****ing ecstatic with those first 4 picks.

Heck, it wouldn't surprise me if we use the first two picks to bolster the right side of the line. I'm sure Colombo and Carey both cost us some games with their awful pass protection.
Maybe we take Dave DeCastro to replace Carey and in the 2nd take Levy Adcock to replace Colombo. Or, Riley Reiff first and then Cordy Glenn in the 2nd. Also, we may just decide John Jerry showed enough to get a legit shot at a starting job next season.

No QB because I'm hoping we sign Matt Flynn.

I wouldn't be surprised. In fact, I kind of expect it. This is just what I personally would like to see happen.

In the NFL these days the RB is not that important. It is a passing league as evidenced by the crazy numbers put up this year. QB WR and TE to a lesser degreeare more potent weapons. Rb is a position that can be picked up later and with the pounding these guys get I'm not sure I want to invest a higher pick in the position. Lots of decent guys are available in the later rounds.

Yeah, I'd still be worried about the pass rush too. I was going to put pass rusher in the 1st or 2nd, but I really don't want to pass on either Jeffery or Allen if they are there when we draft.

Certainly could draft a back, but not higher than the 4th round.

You are not the first person to say that to me.
And I'd be alright with Wright too.
    Just personal preference I guess.
They each have their pros and cons.

you know I never thought I would say this but i cant argue against this senario but I would make a big push for ROBERT GRIFFIN III

I would be fine with drafting Levy Adcock . I think a bigtime defensive end like some other poster said might be the way to go

I doubt it unless its a late round pick. Some people are down on Thomas, I'm not, he showed some talent and I think he will be fine.

I would not be surprised with Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford as our first pick at all.

Assuming you're talking about a RB in the first, I think you would have to believe that Richardson is an AP type talent. There are some people who believe that he is on or near that level. If you were able to get Flynn in FA, rather than having to trade a first, I could see that being a consideration. I don't love using high picks for non-core positions like RB, G or #2 WR, but that may be all that's left if you have the QB and the pass rushers are gone. It also may not be as big of an issue in a rookie salary cap world.
