If they get past NY they would have the small advantage of having Atlleast played GB/N.O already this year. Very unlikely but I would like to see it. IMO they may be the most complete team in NFC.
My preseason prediciton was Green Bay over San Diego. I got duped by Rivers/Turner. So, yeah....I suck.
That wasn't a bad pick though. In general if you look at the elite QBs and try to guess when their teams are ready to make the jump, you'll be far more successful than if you pick teams without elite QBs.
Yeah preseason I thought Falcons and Chargers. I had swore off picking the Chargers because they always seem to disappoint and said they'll have to prove me wrong before I pick them. But... I couldn't help myself. I'm rooting for the Texans and Falcons but doubt we see that matchup.
Two best NFL Stories of 2011/12 Season would produce: Tebow Broncos vs. Harbaugh 49ers Sh!%s & Giggles would produce: Harbaugh Ravens vs. Harbaugh 49ers vegas money would produce: Packers vs Ravens
SI picked Saints over Pats. I would rather play the packers and let it be a shootout. 2 defenses that aren't that great vs 2 high power offenses = greatest and highest scoring superbowl in history. over/under of 84.
how funny would it be if during the trophy presentation rex ryan gets caught running onto the field trying to steal the trophy.. could happen.
Understatement. In that case, I'll take the D that didn't set an NFL record in passing yards allowed.
agreed, but they still were only 15th in points allowed. that's a good turn around stat as to why yards allowed dont always mean everything if you cant score.
AFC side I agree, can't fathom one of those teams not winning the conference. NFC side I think Green Bay and New Orleans are the best two teams in the NFL, but also think there's a chance of someone else going to the Super Bowl. Not to say they shouldn't obviously be the favorites but I won't be shocked if the NFC representative is someone else.
Consider that the four teams that have allowed the most passing yards this season are the Packers, Patriots, New York Giants and New Orleans Saints, four division champions with a combined 50-14 record. Removing the blowout situations paints a clearer picture of the defense, an opportunistic unit that is willing to surrender yards (8.2 yards per attempt in 10-point games or less, 29th in NFL) in exchange for preventing the big play. Additionally, the Patriots defense has made some big plays of its own, tying for second in interceptions (23) and first in red-zone interceptions (six).
so is the opposite of the normal by saying, lets tire out their offense? even as a pats fan, its hard to figure BB out.
Giants over Pats (Again). Could life be any better unless it was the Dolphins winning? May as well put a team there that we know can handle NE. But Id be stunned if NE doesnt make it since theyre the only team left in the AFC with an elite QB. Im biased though cause the Giants are my second favorite team...Id clearly root for them any week they were not playing Miami
Sunday's forecast for Giants at Green Bay is a high of 18 degrees, low of 16, 20 percent chance of snow.
