It's because his eye hit the other guys fist so hard he just had to brag about it. Like how he victoriously crawls away too.
Or it means they want Nene at the 4. It's time to give up this pipe dream of Dwight to the Lakers. They can't beat the Nets offer.
Where and when was it stated that Stern wants the Lakers to take on salary from the Hornets? AFAIK this is just something Dan Gilbert said in his email.
Paul deal is dead. The NBA is rigged and all the Laker haters can breath a sigh of relief that they were stopped from forming what would essentially would have been a continuation of their dynasty. The NBAPA will roll over on tihs as well and Stern will act like he did the right thing, but he didn't. Lakers played by the rules that the owners and players agreed to, yet got punished for it. Lamar Odom is now a Maverick for their trade exception, whiich means the Lakers are STILL going after Howard. And if I am L.A., I call the Rockets and see if they want to swing a deal for Pau Gasol, seinding Scola and Dragic and perhaps even Martin back to L.A. It would be less than they were going to give up for him and they can still get after Nene at that point. Lakers are destroyed because of Stern for this season. Unless Kupchak can scramble to get the bruised egos out of town with SOME value, the NBA has essentially alienated their marquee franchise and 25% of the NBA fanbase with this move. I hope the NBAPA has the balls to take this to court. It isn't even about Paul on the Lakers anymore. There is a bigger fish to fry with David Stern.
LOL a Laker fan saying the NBA is rigged oh that is funny. You need to stop crying about not getting Paul your getting Dwight Howard. Minnesota would be lucky enough to trade for Howard's jock strap.
I think the Lakers pulled out of the Paul deal to get Howard. The Lakers fans crying about a trade when the Gasol deal was the most obvious robbery/rigged trade in the history of sports? The NBA has always been a notch above the WWF so I don't see where the shock is coming from about all this.
Eh, not much the Union can do, the Commish can block any trade he wishes, for any virtually any reason he wishes. Landing Howard, imo, is a far bigger fish to fry then CP3, team Kobe with a dominant Big? PG's dime o' dozen Sam.
GTFOH. Dynasty my ***. We built our impending one with our city, our organization, our hall of fame General manager, and our superstar making sacrifices to put together what we have. Your franchise keeps seeking a short cut. Well, you fell short. I wish you had gotten all your wishes, so you would have run into a GREAT organization, with a great system, a TRULLY great player, that would have just repelled you once again. The arrogance is just astounding. So here..have some arrogance....shut the **** up and sit back. You really had no chance regardless, but the illusion is fun..so there is that...
They did win the 3 pt shooting corpse of Derek Fisher. Lake show fans seem to be prone to...dare I..sandy vagina persecution complexes, as if EVERY deal should break their way every time.
Its mind boggling. Most Laker fans I have seen post have been okay with this because it just means they get HOWARD. Laker fans should be thanking Mark Cuban for help getting them Howard.
LOL @ a Heat fan talking about another team seeking short cuts. Pot... Kettle... BLACK... I think Odom's feelings were hurt, clearly, so the Lakers had to move him for anything they could get. They should just blow it all up. Trade Kobe for what they can get.
You’re a fan of the team with the second-most championships in the NBA, and you’re claiming that a. the league is rigged b. against you? Really? The Heat spent 4 years structuring contracts and trades to prepare for the 2010 free agency period. How is 4 years a shortcut to anything?
Apparently Lakers said enough is enough when Stern said no to the second version of the Paul trade. Perfect.
No idea what you're talking about to be honest. As a person who's not very fond of the Lakers, I actually wish this trade happened because it would of been a disaster for the Lakers. You never trade bigs for smalls, ever. Gasol, Odom, and Bynum is the reason they're good. The NBA owns the Hornets. They can block whatever trade they want involving the Hornets, for no reason at all if they want.
Well, I suspect what happened is last yr's loss in the playoffs and the spectacle of Bynum acting like ***, Gasol acting indifferent, and Odom being well, Odom, was enough to convince them to blow it up. Funny thing to me is, when I think Lakers, I think Dominant Big Men, like Kareem and Shaq, surprised they were going after CP3 over Howard in the first place.
"Us" Heat fans are not exactly stoics, the difference to me is, BSPN hyped up the Heat, then went out of their way to take shots at us afterwards. Eh, that is what makes rivalries great R&R, two organizations going at it everyway they can
So: A. Gasol and Bynum for D12 and Turk B. Gasol and TE for D12 and Turk C. Bynum and TE for D12 and Turk Can't imagine all three (Gasol/Bynum/TE) going for D12... I also don't see A above.
Desides said it best..but I will add to it. Not only did they spend 4 years structuring the payroll for 2010, but paid out over 60 million dollars in dead cap weight to do so, and made 2 trades to clear the roster as well. 4 years. yeah..short cut.
They didn't groom their own players... instead, stealing them from a defenseless Cleveland and Toronto. Poor Dan Gilbert.... literally... I can't even make this arguement with a straight face... Lebron James still choked....
Seems Lakers will not give up both Gasol and Bynum for Howard. The real winner in all this mess are the Mavs and Clippers. Mavs get a great bench player and the Clippers are now the front runners for CP3.
CP3 and Blake Griffin on the Clippers? That’s like mounting an insurgency against the twilight of Kobe Bryant’s career.
Yes, they stole them. Pat Riley dressed up in all black and a ski mask and dragged them to Miami. They definitely were NOT free agents who were FREE to choose wherever they wanted to go. They definitely did NOT finish out their contracts and tried to force their way out with trades like some other wonderful, classy players.
The Lakers invented this you know? Shaq from poor Orlando...... Actually teams have been living well off of free agency for years and until the Heat did it, it was fine and dandy. The Heat does it and people cry foul. The Heat did it by saving money, and still being a decent team doing it...
