I never said you were in the anti-LoMo camp in any of my previous posts about him. It was more of a general statement that people are down on LoMo than anyone in particular.

No one is down on Logan. We just need to upgrade our starting pitching, and Gio Gonzalez is a very good and young SP.

Also, make no mistake about it. The issues between him and the front office were his fault.

How so? For speaking out on the fired hitting coach or skipping a team event?

I'm not getting into this now. You have your opinions on him, I have mine.

Bottom line, if we have the chance to acquire Gonzalez for Morrison, I do it. Fair trade for both sides.

It was an honest question. Just wondering how it was Morrison's fault that's all.

I liked Baker. He came on my radio show, dude is huge into MMA. I know he went to Cal. So being in San Diego will be pretty cool for him. Good left handed bat.

This was my post after it happened. It literally had nothing to do with twitter and everything to do with him being a jackass, combined with the fact that he was one of the worst major league starters in baseball from May onwards.

The biggest piece of evidence I can point to is Marlins play by play guy Tommy Hutton being very outspoken in his support for LoMo after his demotion, but when he got on the team plane the following day, his tune completely changed after talking with the players. They all basically said that he has some growing up to do, etc.

I mean, it doesn't hurt to ask. I just hope they weren't serious about it and won't settle for anything less than Stanton.

Could do worse. He HATES the way the Mets handled him and has always held a grudge. Plus hes a darn good pitcher most of the time. Could do a lot worse. As a Met fan I was not happy when they dealt him to SD. He handles pressure reasonably well.

Oh, he's good. I like him. However, this could cost us the opportunity to sign Reyes and Wilson/Buehrle. That angers me. I value them over Bell.

Well if Reyes goes within the division I would be happier he went to the Marlins then the Braves or Phils but I hope he stays with NYM obviously. I wouldnt blame you if signing bell costs you those other players and you were angry. However you guys are due for the once every 10 year run and ensuing firesale :)

It's pretty much a done deal that he's signing with Miami. Apparently, our only competition is New York, and he's not going back there. Their max offer thus far is 80 million, while ours is about 90 with the possibility to increase. Still, I would rather have signed Buehrle over Bell.

Eh dont count it that way. Jose loves it here and hes been with this organization since he was 16. Im not saying he wont leave but the Mets arent losing him at 5/90. The Mets havent even made a concrete offer by the way. Alderson hasnt been in contact with Reyes' agent in weeks (according to an interview with bloggers earlier today you can view on Metsblog) but expects to be soon. You can be sure that Reyes' agent is trying to get the market for Reyes higher since Reyes is on record saying he wants a 100M deal

But where would he play? The Marlins are set at 1st with Sanchez and they signed Buck to a long term deal last year. You can't DH him in the NL and the Yankees didn't think his defense was good enough even as a back up playing once or twice a week. I just don't see a fit for Posada in the NL.

As far as leadership, do the Marlins or any team really want to bring him aboard because of his "leadership"? This is the same guy that took himself out of a Red Sox/Yankee game because he was dropped to 8th in the batting order. Not exactly a good example to be setting.

He could backup C, and play 1st base...plus if somebody gets injured......

and yes Posada was a *****, sure, then he goes out and hits probably the best of them all in the playoffs (he didnt ever give up)......his *****iness was expected however because the Yankees and Posada were over after the year...much like Ortiz is being a *****, it happens....but Posada was the clubhouse guy for all those years, not Jeter....Jeter was the Captain but he even deferes to Posada as the guy who kept the clubhouse in line....

Sometimes when you have a team as young as these guys, to waste 1M washed up player for 1 year has benefits....on how to prepare for games, learning to win...etc etc....

Lastly because Jorge wants to go there, doesnt mean Florida wants him back....I think Jorge would even go to the Sox right about now...
