It could lead to any one of those matchups (except for carnage vs. venom being both are villains), but my intention would be to have all the of heroes fight it out against one another on the left side of the bracket, and the villains fight one another on the right side of the bracket which would then end in a championship matchup between the most voted hero vs. the most voted villain...thus crowning the best overall comic character within the Marvel & DC comic world.
I would like something more like biggest superhero villian war, biggest superhero villian rivalry. And we vote on the combos............
Richard Pryor: "I had a very serious drug problem....it got so bad that my dealers started worrying about me....they started telling me that they couldn't sell me any coke.......so I begged my regular dealer to just sell me enough to get me through the weekend.....he finally broke and said...okay richard...how much you need?...I said...A KILO."
A little trickier there. Would limit the bracket to those who really know comics. I know Superman, Spiderman, and Batman's arch enemies, but not much beyond that.
thats true what if we didnt limit it to comic book rivalries? mario vs koopa qbert vs the cubes i dont know something like that mix it up have movies, tv, comics, video games.....
Great idea. I think we've got brackets to last until March Madness 2009. Seinfeld VS. Newman Great Taste VS. Less Filling Joe VS. The Volcano
Please don't restrict it to Marvel and DC. Judge Dredd and Hellboy should be in any lineup of comic book heroes. The Dredd universe has some great villain ranging from Mean Machine Angel to Judge Death, just pretend the awful Stallone movie never happened. The Phantom by Lee Falk is another faorite of mine.
I'm an Image and Darkhorse fan as well, but being that they are more obscure to some fans I was thinking it'd be best to stick with the more well-known characters due to the fact that not everyone is that familiar with some of their comics, but I'm perfectly fine with throwing those guys in as well as others if people actually know who they are. If they don't it's just pointless because they'd get voted out in the first round.
All three have had mainstream movies made about them (ok the Phantom and Judge Dredd movies were pretty sucky) but that can't be said about some of the so-called "big name" marvel and DC characters.
I was just messing around on YouTube and I came across the opening scene of The Godfather in my favorites. And I wondered why Vito Corleone was not on the badass bracket. The guy controls police, judges, and congressmen. The guy gets shot like ten times and survives.
