We've also scored 79 points the last 3 weeks, which for us is pretty damn impressive considering how we started the year.
Anyone saying we don't need a quarterback and that Matt Moore is "the answer" has nt been paying attention. We will draft a quarterback in the first round....I hope.
Sorry I watch to see them win, not play ok throughout and then lose in the final 5 minutes. That isn't fun. If we lose out on drafting luck oh well. There are other good qbs that we can draft. I enjoy watching Miami win, in this case dominate. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk
The excuses continue. Damn near impossible my ***. He has the ball, the defender has nothing to do with it, he looses posession of the ball when he hits the ground. Something that a WR can not do, whether making one dollar, or a billion. Bottom line, he has to make that catch. End of story. Not sure why we're ok with him not hanging onto that ball. i dont get it, but whatever. He's the best player on this offense. We need him to make those plays.
You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to that game. I'm hoping they'e still in the run for the playoffs so we can stick the dagger in them
At this rate, we're back on track for a third consecutive 7-9 season. So, let's say the 12-14 range. Which, no, is not high enough to obtain a franchise QB, unless you're committed to taking Brandon Weeden in that range. And I'm starting to doubt that Weeden will be available outside the top 10. (And Landry Jones is not worth a pick at that spot.) Don't underestimate this GM. "Mr. Ross, we have Matt Moore, we won with him, in fact we dominated with him. I think we can build around him. Let me draft Matt Kalil to protect our new franchise QB, Matt Moore."
Don't know what's worse, the fact that you're a fake dolfan or the fact that you're rooting against your own team!?
I can not disagree with you and that sucks. Ireland and the whole lot still deserve to get **** canned, regardless of how we finish.
Get real. The fact that I want to finally fix the most glaring problem on this team to set us up for a decade of success doesn't make me a fake anything, it makes me someone capable of thinking past "this Sunday". Tell me what going, say, 7-9 this year gets us. Explain why we should celebrate this. I'm all ears.
When that happens, I'm checking out until we draft a QB in the first round, which is likely to occur in 2033.
You're acting like we're going to win nine games or something. At the most we're looking at seven total. That would still have us in the ten to fifteen range. Why couldn't we get a QB worth having? I've *****ed on this message board a million times about the Dolphins FOs not prioritizing QB. But keep on with your generic assumptions. Go to any thread that has argued about whether Jake Long was a better pick than Matt Ryan and see where I stand.
That's the problem, though. With each win he can say "Look at how the roster I've built is playing. Look at how they overcame their coaching. I'm not the problem, the coaching was. Let me find a new coach and keep drafting well, and we can win every weekend. We're close, Mr. Ross. Let me keep building this obviously-talented roster."
The way I look at it, the future of this team is starting to play well. Long, Pouncey, Clay, Thomas, Davis, Smith, etc.. As long as that happens, I'm happy. We'll be in position to acquire a QB, even if we end up 8-8.
It's pretty sure that Matt Moore won't be our QB for long and that we'll draft a franchise QB next year, it's not like we won 7 games or w/e with Moore yet and we'll probably won't, this game is not even over yet so relax!

Don't you love that losing mentality. A negative breeding ground is never good for an organization and its fans. Some have already looked silly with that mindset. All will look silly in the end. SFL or sucking for a draft pick is not what a fan should do. Being happy when kicking *** is the way to be. Go Phins!
I've said at least twice now that 7-9 is looking like the most probable end result of this season, so I don't know where you get the first two sentences in your post. The third and fourth sentences disregard the reality that there are at least four teams in the top ten who need QBs and will draft them if available, so no, we can't get a franchise QB in the 10-15 range. At least not without trading up, and Ireland is averse to trading up. Well, to be more exact, he's averse to a net loss of draft picks; that is, coming away from a draft with less than 7 selections. If he has spare picks, he'll trade up, as seen with Daniel Thomas. But we still came away from the 2011 draft with a full net of seven players. If we trade up from the 10-15 range, the cost will be so prohibitive that he won't be able to come away with a full assortment of draft selections. He'll also likely try to get cute about value again, ala Jimmy Graham, waiting too long to draft a targeted QB only to have that player drafted right in front of him. We'd probably wind up with Jason Campbell backing up Matt Moore, in all honesty. As for the rest of your sentences, where did I say that you're opposed to fixing the QB spot? I'm saying your mannerism for fixing it is wrong. In this particular year, you can't fix QB by winning out and then just letting one fall to you. It won't work that way in April.
I just don't see how 7-9 means we can't get a good QB. We were never getting Luck anyway. We could not be worse than Indy without losing on purpose.
Really? Okay, which franchise QB will we in range to pick? Keep in mind that there are only two top talents confirmed to be in the draft: Andrew Luck (out of range) and Brandon Weeden (will soon be out of range). Matt Barkley still has NCAA eligibility left and could likely stay in school to win a bowl game next year before coming out, likely as a top three pick at worst. And yes, Matt Moore is making the case that he should at the minimum replace Chad Henne on this roster. For a regime that regards the QB position as a sinkhole of risk, don't underestimate Ireland's ability to say "We have a guy now, let's build up other positions." Still waiting for you to explain what going 7-9 gets us, by the way.
It sounded to me like you assumed I was one of the 'Chad Henne [or whoever] is good enough at QB with enough talent around him' people. I am absolutely not. I still believe we'll get a new GM and coach.
Going 7-9 means we keep our current GM and the current HC has a good argument ("the lockout caused our players to come in out of shape, look at how they played when they were in shape") to continue serving out his contract. You're stacking false assumptions atop other false assumptions.
well regardless of our record i just hope we dont miss out on a legit threat at qb , wr or te , my biggest fear is that we miss out on a great player and then next year its back to crappy offense and coaching. Now for the moment it does feel damn good to be leading 28 -6 when was the last time our offense scored that many points?
