Colts will probably beat Jax at home. Miami has a great shot against Washington. They have a weak run D.

may as well put as much distance between us and them as we can. Better to be tied for suckdom with only 1 team as opposed to 4 or 5.

Jax has been significantly better than the Colts have been. I mean they beat the Ravens last week. The Colts haven't shown they can even compete in this league yet.

Yeah too bad we don't play Indy this year. That would be an epic showdown for the ages... just imagine how AWFUL that game would be. I'm sad we won't get to see it.

Indy is a whole other level of bad. The only way they don't end up winless is if Peyton comes back. And quite honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if the franchise IR'd him to prevent that from happening.

If the Colts get Luck then there surely is no God. They don't deserve thirty years of elite quality at QB with only a small one year bump in the middle. Who gets that? If they get Luck I will root for the Colts to fail for the rest of my natural life.

Does seem crazy...but still thinks somehow someway, Colts win more than 1 game.

honestly, love our effort, but dont know who plays horrible against us for all 4 QTRs to let us secure 1 win.

Hoping for it...but dont see it.

I think everyone needs to prepare for that scenario. I see us getting the second or third pick in the draft. Indy has been the hurdle all along, and that team has clearly given up.

Maybe they'll bring Peyton back, fire Caldwell, and win a couple games. But that seems like a long shot right now.

After watching him last night, I wholeheartedly disagree. He's not as good as Brandon Weeden is. I'd almost be inclined to put him behind Landry Jones as well.

Really? I think what he does is far more difficult than anything Weeden has to do.

Schematically, sure, I'll give you that. But, watching the game last night, he'd make a throw and I'd think he'd get rolling. Then there'd be an overthrow, or trying to force something there wasn't. Just rather inconsistent, almost like a less robotic version of a certain #7 we all know. Better arm; but the inconsistency is consistent IMO. Those USC receivers are very talented after the catch.

Yup, will get closer when Week 8 completes..depending on remaining games.

    Long way to go....

but now after 1pm games, its already changed to account for updates.

for instance Miami is now at .609 and INDY .600 but again, need all the game for week 8 to complete..since each completed game could impact our past schedule, etc.

I personally think all 4 Qb's are franchise type players. Love Weedens release for sure. Jones just consistantly puts up huge numbers and has played well against some good teams, and Barkley is a gamer.

    I would go...

    1. Luck
    2. Jones
    3. Weeden
    4. Barkley

Its Luck or bust. I think Jones and Barkley have dissapointed this year. Wouldn't be shocked to see Barkley go back to USC. Weeden is too old... it takes 2-3 years to develope. Hell be 30 by then. Not interested in a kid who's best years are behind him 5 years in...

What helped us??? Remember, aside from Colts winning...we want everyone on their schedule to rack up WINS.

We are rooting against the teams that play the colts this year. Carolina plays colts so its good that they lost. Same goes for the pitt/ ne game. Colts and mia both play ne this year so that's a wash but colts played pitt this year already so we should be rooting for ne to win here to help our sos standings and keeps ne 2 games up on jets.

No again, you have it backwards....we want not only the COLTs to win; but equally important incase we are tied with them, is we want their opponents to have lots of Wins.

    More wins = higher SoS%.

Conversly, we want Miami to end up with fewer wins....but we also want all our opponents to lose as many games as possible.

That would produce a lower S0S%.

Lower SoS% gets the better round 1 pick if we are tied in Wins.

it may seem backwards but thats how it works.

so root for Colts and their opponents to win.....

    Think of it this way.....

Lets say both Miami and Colts tie with same number of Wins.

We want the Colts opponents to have racked up more wins - lets say the Colts opponents have 25 wins out of 100 games played at the end of the regular season (just making that up to make the math simple). I believe its actually 208 games played in NFL season by a teams opponents "13 opponents each with 16 games played"!

Conversly, Miami opponents only win 24 games out of the same 100 played by our opponents on their schedules.

    Colts SoS% would be .250
    Miami SoS% would be .240

We would draft first since our SoS% is lower....NFL reasoning is our opponents won fewer games overall, but we couldnt produce more than 1 win.

So, their logic is we are a team in need of more help..."easier schedule" but same number of wins.

    Hope that helps.

SoS % is only draft tie-breaker...not H2H, not Conf, not Division, etc.

Just total # of wins, and SoS% (ie. fewest # of wins by your opponents).

We want fewer, we want Colts opponents to produce more wins than our opponents.

You're setting yourself up for a big disapointment this way.

I dont think any of the 4 have disapointed and there are a couple others names that could be added as well.

I'd be just fine with any of them.

the loses by NE, DEN, and CLE helped out Mia's SoS% big time....

The Wins by BAL, PIT and CIN hurts Indy's SoS%

not a bad week with STL win.

Not including tonights (p.s. root for PHI win and DAL loss) or MNF games (p.s. root for KC win, and SD loss)

....(per NFL and ESPN method, but not GBN method)

    SoS %
    1) Mia SoS% .571
    2) Indy SoS% .603.

so lets hope INDY racks up Wins,......and Mia sneaks 1 win out.

    Well away from here
What you need to hope for is a return to mediocrity by the Bills, and for the Panthers and Jaguars to win more games. Indy has 3 games left against those teams (Jags and Panthers). If those teams don't win more games I can't see Miami getting the number one pick. We have only two games against teams that currently have 2 wins; Philadelphia and Denver.

We also are playing in a tougher division, which means the teams we have to play twice a year have a combined record of 14-7. The Colts division opponents currently have a record of 11-12. We REALLY need Manning to come back and play the final 3 games or so and garner us a win, or we're relying on the Bills and Jets to play poorly down the stretch along with inspired nose diving by Oakland, Philly and Washington.

We have common opponents in Houston, KC, Cleveland, and New England.

Maybe my simple first look conclusions may be off though.

I definately do not love our SoS % chances.....hoping for Colts and everyother team to have at least 2 Wins....and Miami to have 1 come end of regular season.

I am selfish, dont want to rotate in rounds 2-7 either.

    :tongue2:
