It's hard to believe that but you're probably right. If they were smart they would have tested it on every 360 and PS3 console made. No problems with the 60G yet, my fingers are still crossed.
For whatever reason, without a patch or anything, I think the freezing is done with. None of my friends are experiencing 'the freeze' anymore, neither am I.
Mine began to freeze today, after about an hour of it I gave up. Hopefully like King's it resolves itself.
Mine froze twice during the initial load up but afterwards it worked fine. I hope they get that patch ready soon, it made me a little nervous. If this continues to be a problem there's no way I'll buy another game that Rockstar makes. I don't pay 60 dollars for something that works only part of the time.
The problem with loading only happens when I'm signed into PSN. It's pretty strange. It never freezes when I'm logged off. So no multiplayer I guess until they release the patch.
Yep. I've been playing logged off. Doesn't freeze at all. I only log into PSN when I'm about to run a Turf War or Hangman's Noose.
Yep, I did the same and it's running smooth again. I'm losing a huge amount of respect for Rockstar here. They need to admit there is a problem and get a patch up.
I thought they were working on one?? Or maybe it's Sony that's going to try to fix it for them. Is anybody having this happen on anything other than a 60G PS3?
Yes, there have been a few of all the PS3 models, although the 60 GB model is the most common. There has also been issues on some 360s. There is supposedly a patch in the works.
Yeah I hear that from various sources but I find it horrible that Rockstar still hasn't admitted the issue exists. Talk to their reps, and they act like it's Sony's issue, at least at last check(May 2nd).
Yeah they seem to be directing everything to Sony. Then again it could really be Sony's issue. I mean Sony sent their own people to help Rockstar when the game was originally delayed because of issues so if Sony's people didn't do their job to prevent this then I would probably do the same thing.
yea ours likes to freeze right after the opening cutscene loading things, right before the actual gameplay starts. perhaps shall try signing out of the network
Yep, I downloaded it last night before I played for awhile. Hopefully that fixes the problems that some people have had.
I'm praying. I'm downloading right now, I haven't played since mine began freezing, hoping to avoid moajor issues and I need a good fix of it. Great timing because I'm off all day.
Nice Luckily I never had any issues (knock on wood) but the patch makes me alittle more comfortable anyway.
The patch fixed everything. Now it loads normally even when I'm signed in to PSN. That was good of them to get that out so fast.
