His SoS scores has nothing to do with draft formula..... Its simply #of Wins of Opponents divided by Total # of games played by opponents....its the tie breaker for round 1 of draft following # of Wins of teams. http://espn.go.com/nfl/standings/_/type/playoffs/sort/projectedLosses/order/true You can use ESPN playoff...just sort by wins in reverse order, and use the SoS column that is already calculated to figure out all teams tied with same # of wins. The lowest SoS% will get the better draft slot for 1st round. Right now, thru week 7. Wins then SoS % order 1. MIA 0 wins .579 2. IND 0 wins .609 3. STL 0 wins .639 4. AZ 1 win .436 5. JAC 1 win .575 6. MIN 1 win .609 Remaining Schedule: Miami (0-6)- @NYG, @KC, WAS, BUF, @DAL, OAK, PHI, @BUF, @NE, NYJ Indy (0-7)- @TEN, ATL, JAC, CAR, @NE, @BAL, TEN, HOU, @JAC St Louis (0-6)- NO, @AZ, CLE, SEA, AZ, @SF, @SEA, CIN, @PIT, SF Arizona- (1-5)- @BAL, STL, @PHI, @SF, @STL, DAL, SF, CLE, @CIN, SEA Jags- (1-5)- BAL(MNF), @HOU, @IND, @CLE, HOU, SD, TB, @ATL, @TEN, IND Minny- (1-6)- CAR, @GB, OAK, @ATL, DEN, @DET, NO, @WAS, CHI
You have heard it now. Manning will not be back this season. The Colts are not going to make the playoffs and with his neck injury still not fully healed, the Colts have no desire to expose Manning to further injury this season. The owner of the Colts has already stated that he would gladly draft Luck if the Colts have the first pick in the draft. For the owner to make this statement, it certainly appears that he already knows Manning will not be back this year and that the Colts will be one of the few teams who will be vying for the top pick in the 2012 draft, based on their won-loss record.
Never said it had anything to do with draft formula ... rather just data ranking SOS for games already played only. It does not include games remaining on the schedule
Gotcha, wasnt sure if you were looking for the actual/relevant draft info...but this SoS scores stuff, weird, as I dont know how they are being calculated...but SoS% is what the Draft uses..so thats what I wanted to provide to help thru week 7.
Simple...hope the AFC South & AFC North & NFC South teams win...unless the Colts magically start winning. I think the Rams will pick up wins at some point. Seahawks, Cardinals still on schedule.
I don't see how anyone can look at the Colts schedule and say they will win one game, much less two. Then say Miami has only a slight chance to be Washington if that. The Jags have a pretty good defense that will give the Colts fits.
Based on the most probable one Win = Luck..... ....and now the "there was ONLY Five alive" post: Right now, OFFICIALLY thru week 7. #Wins then SoS % draft order 1. MIA 0 wins .579 2. IND 0 wins .609 3. STL 0 wins .622 4. AZ 1 win .436 5. MIN 1 win .609 Miami (0-6)- @NYG, @KC, WAS, BUF, @DAL, OAK, PHI, @BUF, @NE, NYJ Indy (0-7)- @TEN, ATL, JAC, CAR, @NE, @BAL, TEN, HOU, @JAC St Louis (0-6)- NO, @AZ, CLE, SEA, AZ, @SF, @SEA, CIN, @PIT, SF Arizona- (1-5)- @BAL, STL, @PHI, @SF, @STL, DAL, SF, CLE, @CIN, SEA Minny- (1-6)- CAR, @GB, OAK, @ATL, DEN, @DET, NO, @WAS, CHI
Since AZ and STL play each other twice....its really only "Four left to score" post..... We pretty much have a top 4 pick solidified at this rate.....my best quess has Miami with 1 win (gifted/stolen/backdoored); but INDY will win 1 maybe 2, STL should grab 2 (AZ split and say SEA split), AZ will be out with 2 wins or possible 3 if sweep STL, and Minny same with a 2nd win somewhere most likely Den. So, maybe SoS% battle with 1 team (and right now we have a few points to play with)...probably INDY will make a run for it.
With so many games left, so many things could happen from injuries, weather, or just the way the ball bounces. We need look no further than last night's game. It would not surprise me to see a 2 win team get the firs pick. I found myself cheering for the Jags, and the only reason was the "Race For #1." We now have 8 new teams to cheer for, which makes this season more interesting. I'm gonna make this thread a weekly deal.
Southbeach, if 2 Wins still grab LUCK, I will be floored, but a Miami 2nd win certainly willl not arrive till Week 17 and only if NYJ sit every starter and tank it! But prior to that 2nd, would love to know when our 1st occurs (I am cheering for it) Still think 1 win vs ZERO wins secures Luck. But yes, long way to go my friend, long way to go.
While I'm opptimistic we end up with 1 or 2 wins, as some mentioned earlier, anything can happen in the NFL (see last night). The Redskins game in my head is a win. John Beck will not come into Miami and be able to carve up this defense. We will be able to move the ball enough that I think 10-13 points wins that game. Oakland scares me a little but hopefully Carson has had a few weeks to get accustomed to their offense. The other games that scare me are @ Buffalo and vs. Buffalo at home. Keep in mind that these are divisional games. I know Buffalo has looked really good at times but I could easily see Miami stealing one of these two games. The last game that scares me is this week. The Giants often play down to their competition (see Seattle a couple of weeks ago and Arizona before that). This is going to either be the Giants rolling all over us OR Miami squeeks out a win. 3 wins for this team is still a possiblity considering I've included 5 games above that could end up biting us in the ***. We will not win: @ KC in Arrowhead one of the Buffalo games @ Dallas on Thanksgiving vs Philly @ NE vs Jets
I wouldn't mind if we only have 1 win this year. During the last game and it knocks the jest out of the playoffs.
i feel ok. john beck will do something magical and we won't be able to hold on to Palmer's errant throws.
That Oakland game is in Oakland I think. That helps quite a bit. The sad thing is we match up well with them so that could be a win unless Palmer gets his **** together. I think the Redskins torch us.
I will not believe Manning is playing this year until he takes a snap. Until then, it is just hype to keep fans interested and paying money to the organization.
I doubt the choice is his ultimately. As a competitor, I am sure he wants to get back out there this year. But does colts management want their expensive QB rushing out after neck and nerve surgery just to win a few meaningless games? What's the point?
