The Colts are pissing me off. I can't bear to watch Luck fall into their laps.

I dont see them getting Luck since they resigned Manning before the season ending surgery.

No team in the NFL would pass on Luck.

Among the contenders, I think the Panthers, Jags and Rams would trade back and get that bounty of picks over taking Luck.

They wouldn't pass on him. They might trade down one spot and pick up additional picks. Andrew Luck will be the #1 overall pick.

I'm not making a semantical argument either. My point is, if we have the #2 overall pick, the only way we get Luck is to trade up to the #1 overall pick. Luck aint falling into nobody's lap.

I agree that Luck will be the number 1 overall. I'm just saying that there are some teams that would trade away the #1 overall, basically passing up the chance to take Luck.

Peter King speculated the Panthers would ask for 3 #1's for him.

Now, I'm not a huge fan of the draft, I think what a high draft pick produces, compared to the perceived value of that pick, is demonstrably over valued.

That said, 3 #1's is far to steep, but they will probably get it, or at least 2 #1's and a couple of 2's.

Three first rounders is STEEP. However, I'd trade our 2011 pick (likely top-5), our 2012 first rounder, and our 2011 second rounder. I'd even throw in ANY player we got on the roster outside of Jake Long.

Our last 3 first rounder are Vontae Davis, Jared Odrick and Mike Pouncey. Would you trade those 3 guys for andrew Luck (or franchise QB of your choice)?

I suspect you probably would. Thus, 3 first rounders is something I would at least consider.
