So, you're saying not getting anywhere on the final four plays was a team effort? We can't have that. It is so much simpler to say Henne must overcome everything and since he didn't Henne SUCKS!! ;)

It wouldn't have mattered if Henne had gotten us into FG range. Carpenter would have missed for sure. That's how it goes for us.

What would you suggest Henne should have done to get the ball moving, that he did not do?

Wouldn't it be funny if the new coach and GM were to pass on Luck and resigned Henne to a 5 year deal. Some people are so sure that Luck will be coming here if we get the #1 pick.

If you cared about the Miami Dolphins you'd be blaming this ENTIRE team equally for it's poor play the past 2 seasons rather than scapegoating 1 player.

The "IF" isn't about Henne. The IF is about Miami's QB play in general b/c, if Henne's performance up to that point wasn't good enough despite playing great, then I wanted to know exactly what kind of performance fans believe it would've taken for us to beat a weaker Browns team. That's a perfectly valid point and quality topic for debate.

So far, I can guarantee you that more Dolphin fans checked off that it would've taken a greater performance by their QB to beat Cleveland than Steeler fans would say of Roethlisberger b/c Steeler fans are accustomed to winning AS A TEAM, with great coaching, great defense, some rushing TDs, and sound fundamental play.

If you ask a Steeler fan: "hey, if Ben throws for 19/25, 255 yards, 1 TD, and 0 INTs and Rashard runs for 95 against Cleveland this weekend, are you guys gonna win?" You're gonna get a unanimous "Hell yes we are!" in response.

What kind of QB will Luck be when we have to put him at kicker and on defense, too, so he can stop opponents from scoring during games he plays great in? He might have to play some Oline so he can better block for himself so he has more time to throw like he does at Stanford.... and I'm not sure if they allow headsets on the field so he can coach while he's in the huddle.

How did Steve Young do his first couple of years in the NFL?
Could you imagine if the Steelers would have listened to the fans in the 70's and got rid of Terry Bradshaw?

He missed a 22 & 34 yarder vs Houston and a 51 yarder vs Cleveland so yeah, it's a major stretch to assume that all we needed was 10 yards to win the game with a FG.

I imagine they would have won multiple Super Bowls with or without Bradshaw. I imagine Marino would've won multiple Super Bowls in San Fran and Montana woulda won 0 in Miami. But that's:

I would LMAO if we extend Henne for 5 yrs, just watching the Suck for Luckers cry, *****, whine and moan. Even if we did draft him there is no guarantee he is going to be an NFL superstar. The same people who hold him up as the end all be all, did the same thing with guys like David Carr, Tim Couch and Heath Shuler. Sure, if ya end up with the chance to draft him, go for it, even if Henne was already resigned, but ya don't plan out the rest of your season with that being your primary goal.

Herm Edwards may have been a mediocre head coach, but his little "you play to win the game" speech was 100% exactly right on.
