I think DThomas's skillset will be a nice addition, there is some skill there with some power and hands..We need the rookie to pound the rock.. I'am a defensive guy so this article doesn't do it for me..

We don't have an identity crisis. We know what we want to do. It's just that last week the ground game was unable to do it. I have yet to see media as bad as sports media.
If you think about the print media game, the cerebral types who have what it takes to win Pulitzers aren't going to be put on the sports page. But you're right: we know exactly what we want to do. We just can't execute it. Whether the personnel just don't have the individual ability to carry out their assignments, or they aren't being coached on mastering the fundamentals it takes to execute, or they're not executing together as a unit, remains to be seen.
I don't think the Dolphins have an identity crisis on the offense. What they have is an offensive line which can't open holes for the running backs. This has been a problem for the last two seasons and it appears the Dolphins haven't done much to fix it.
Let's see what happens in the next month or two. Personally I think the coaching staff's expectations for the running game were pretty low to begin with considering the line is still a work in progress and there was no Daniel Thomas against the Patriots. The question is going to be whether the offensive line and Thomas are going to be good enough to matter. If they can show something, then this team might have a real shot at doing some good things this year. If this team stays one-dimensional, it might be a pretty long season, even if the defense bounces back.

Why is anything negative being said about the offense? Last game was most fun a and productive offense I have seen in 10 years.
This team is playing as though it had hired a new offensive coordinator who rolled out a new offense, and had added new personnel on defense, with no time for the players to practice all the new wrinkles together. Wait...
