Seems a bit of a contradiction doesn't it? I guess we all got our superstitions which seem acceptable to us, it is just those of other people that we find to not make sense.
It sounds though like you have come to terms with your adult bed wetting, which is to be commended. Most folks would be too ashamed to admit it. Sarah Silverman, a very funny lady imo, wrote a book in which she mentions that she has a similar condition and how she deals with it. Perhaps you may find her book helpful.
Love Sarah. Her sister Laura was brilliant in Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, too. Sarah can piss on me anytime. Wait, what?!
let the defense know you're starting the thread, will you? they seemed to respond well to that last year
Friend SethDaddy8: not to overreact... there are many games to come & the board would miss you, should you lose the bet.
Hell yeah man!!! I also have high regard for Sarah. I may even convert to being a Jew if it allowed me to snuggle up to her. Some warm Sarah showers would be simply devine!!! Women who are funny, witty and smart, are very sexy. I'd take a lady like Sarah over a beauty queen airhead any day. I'm not familiar with Laura, but am going to check on Dr Katz now, since you mentioned it.
One of Sarah's first roles was on a two-part episode of Star Trek: Voyager when she was only about 18, I think. She's always been a honey.
Oh I agree totally. I just don't think she gets the props from the typical guys like many of the FHM magazine model types do. I'm the same way about Alanis Morissette and Ani DiFranco...both honeys in my book. The all have a natural beauty about them, not created or enhanced by anything artificial.
"Superstition" is a nice song. I do not believe in it, knock on wood, and think it's silly, gonna wear my lucky #13 jersey this week, never lost. I just question the way the "takeover" was posted. Fascinating that anyone took this as serious. Don't believe in superstition, KNOCK ON WOOD, think it's silly, GONNA WEAR MY LUCKY JERSEY. Add in the takeover for "rep points" which never happens on game threads. Absolutely Amazing. LOL I am not a chef but, have been known to "stir the pot" on occasion. Does anyone honestly believe that I care who starts a game thread? I had some fun but, guess I was the "Lone Ranger." Gonna have to use MANY MORE smiley's on this forum.
One of the funniest threads I've read on this board. Props to all involved. To Sethdaddy, good luck bro. I pulling far ya. My only advice would be to start the thread with as many scantly clad women as possible. Preferably more pics of msdolphan22 and/or the chick in Ozzy's sig. Then, the term "pink slips" might have more meaning. And, to Lucky...you are a funny SOB! That one liner about half past the burrow's shadow was a good one dude.
It's about time this board regained some character. When was the last time ThePHINS.com had a really amazing super thread that would go down in infamy?
pink slips back in the old days referred to your car title. People called the title, the pink slip. I never saw one that was pink in color though. In the cult classic movie Two Lane Blacktop, the main characters make a bet about who can drive across country to Wash DC the quickest. They mailed their car titles in an envelope to General Delivery and first one there would get to claim both. They called it racing for pink slips.
James Taylor and Dennis Wilson in the only movie either one was ever in. Also the great character actor Warren Oates.
I'd never heard of it, so just googled it. A fairly new sitcom starring one of my favorite actors, Ed O'Neill? Are you fooking kidding me? How did I miss this so far. Ed O'Neill rocks man. You ever see him in John from Cincinnati? Just a one season series on HBO, but really good, with several of the Deadwood cast also in it, including another favorite, Jim Beaver. Jim rocks too. Did you know that Ed O'Neill was David Milch's original choice to play Al Swearengen? It has also been said, that had Ed gotten the part, that the series would not have ended in just 3 seasons. Although I am not sure exactly why, other than it may have had something to do with Ian McShane's contract. If that were so though, why would O'Neill's contract been set up any differently, and who could say for certain that it would have been. Other than Ed being Milch's original choice, the rest is probably pure speculation.
Yeah, once in a while. I pretty much only watch it for that hot latin chick though. Why do you ask? Oh yeah, and Ed O'Neil will always be Al Bundy to me. Love that character.
Pink Slips were something raced for between cars in the 50's, and continued to a degree in different parts of the country thereafter. I recall seeing it in "Grease." For here, it would seem that Padre and Sethdaddy race for the "privledge" of posting the game thread. Anything else would be totally unfair. Are you two "READY TO RUMBLE AND RACE?"
We love the show , and yes we both love Sofia Vergara , who doesn't? wow... Great show though , very very well written , great characters. One of the shows starts as Ed O'Neill and Sofia Vergara are in bed early in the am , the neighbor's dog is barking , as a hot latin ( both ways ) she's had enough ... marches over to the neighbors in robe and as they all haven't really met before , the neighbor says he's noticed Ed's wife , and then looks at him and says " you're a lucky man" , Ed says , "wait a minute and then tell me" as Sofia Vergara starts in on him .... well we always laugh during the show , but my laugh at that scene must have a been a bit louder than usual and mrsdolfan says , why do you think that was funny? Also on that episode Ed O'Neill says "I don't get how one dog keeps you awake when you grew up sleeping through cockfights and revolutions," If the show was average or even bad , she would make it a must see in our opinions , but it really is a great show . http://tvrecaps.ew.com/recap/modern-family-season-2-episode-5/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXpgwtgp4a4 Sometimes when the Dolphins keep making me cry , you find solace ....
I think I actually saw that episode dolphan22. Or, at least the part you described. That's too funny because like I said...I don't watch the show religiously.
I haven't seen it in years. It's pretty funny in places as I recall, but not a movie I consider one of Warren's signature works. The Wild Bunch Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia Dillinger In The Heat of the Night and of course...Two Lane Blacktop Those movies IMO are examples of what made Warren the best character actor of his day. Other than Steve Buscemi, perhaps of all time.
