He was working with essentially a rag-tag group, with 30 of 39 players undrafted rookies. This weekend’s Dolphins might be a fringe top-25 college football team.

But Sparano coached the rookies like they were playing for a Super Bowl contender.

He said Bill Parcells, who attended all four practices during the past three days, even told Sparano one day, “You’re starting to sound like somebody else I know.”

I'll say one thing for Sparano; he's growing on me. He definitely looks like a football coach out there. But every time he opens his mouth and that Joiseh accent spills out, I want him to go away.

    Argh.

This I totally agree with. I think he said, "I seen" or "We seen" about 20 times the other day. But hey, we didn't hire an English Teacher, we hired a football coach. I think Cam's grammar was better, and we know how that worked out.

Cameron was set up to fail and got undermined. But that's another argument.

It's not so much Sparano's grammar or cliches but the simple accent of his voice. Noo Yawk, Joiseh, and Bahstahn accents annoy me to no end.

i was more impressed with with his presence during the interviews. he carried himself very well and was clearly the leader of this team as the coach. Cam never seemed to present himself that way. and in some ways he does present like Bill Parcells.

Sparano definitely has a presence to him. Something I did not see in Cameron.

If Cameron was set up to fail, then he did great. And it IS his grammar to anyone who appreciates good English. I care less about the accent if its spoken properly. But...I care more about winning. And JJ, DW, NS, and CC...all big time losers.
