I am trying to remember when the last time the dolphins scored more then 21 points in a game and when was the last time we completely shut down a oposing team ? it sure would be great to score 40 points and hold down our opponents to 14 points or less. we need a win in this fashion to shut up the media and critics and we need to beat the playoff teams in order to get into the playoffs so can you guys help me with some of our best wins ? For the last 4 years i cant recall a really great win or a blow out.
In 09 the fins beat the Bills 38-10. I think thats the type of victory you are looking for. Last year they beat Oakland 33-17. In 08 there was the Wildcat game that ended up being 38-13.
Idk which win was better that year....shutting out the Pats or kicking the **** out of the Bears. Not too bad for an underachieving 6-10 team.
I remember a Colts game from a few years ago that we won 40-6 I believe. I remember Wanny trying to run out the clock with Rob Konrad and he ended up taking one to the house on the last play of the game lol. That was a good night.
I'd say the last time we really shut down a quality opponent was when we unleashed the wild cat against New England in 2008.
We had a very good Defense that year... JT made DPOY, goes to show that Defenses due win games for a mediocre Offense...
We did a pretty good job of winning convincingly against Oakland last year. The Dolphins won the 4th Quarter against the Titans last year, but that wasn't really a nail-biter. Although we only won by 8, I'd say the Bengals game was a convincing win as well. In 2009, I remember dismantling Buffalo in Henne's first start.
we did ? huh well thats cool but we sure lost more home games last year more then any other year in history if I'm not mistaken. anytime we beat the jets or pats and we finish in first place makes me want to kiss Kelly Staples and slap her on the butt.
You can also just go to http://www.nfl.com/teams/miamidolphins/schedule?team=MIA and they have all the scores for all the games back through 1999.
Or go here and have all the way back to the team's inception. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/mia/
That's the best site for historical football stats, for sure. Some folks would rather others do the work for them I guess.
