http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports...kie-jimmy-wilson-once-accused-of-1712830.html He definitely has had his issues, but I think this is something positive which should get us all a bit excited because I think he's going to turn out to be a surprise and a steal. From what I've heard, he's been looking real good in camp and is making a bunch of INTs. You all think we could use some of that mojo???
Well Deej said he thinks he could be our Bob Sanders, so we shall see, that would be awesome if he were. Side note, did read Clyde Gates dad pulled 18 yrs for murder. Who said Irish doesn't take enough chances... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clyde_Gates
Murder's dandy. Now, sons of hookers, we can't abide. Gotta draw the line somewhere. Murder good, hookers un-American. Lock and load.
Irish still is criticized for the Dez Bryant stuff, he has brought in: -Bess who spent a yr in jail -Wilson who spent 2 yrs -Gates who had a troubled background as well -Brandon Marshall whose problems were well documented -Tony McDaniel who broke a classmates jaw at UT -Kept Merling, a fact that surprised even Phillip who was happy to still have a job Think he asked them tough questions as well?
Acquitted- Law To free or clear from a charge or accusation. In other words, he wasn't just found "not guilty" due to insufficient evidence. He was found INNOCENT due to the fact that the evidence proved he was not the murderer.
I guess he was in juvie..not jail. http://articles.sfgate.com/2007-12-...uvenile-detention-center-davone-bess-bay-area
I could run a calendar based on every time I see these Jimmy Wilson 2nd chance at life articles...Ad Nauseum.
Oh yes, there is more to Mr Bess then meets the eye. Deej may be off base about Wilson though, Sanders was 206 or so, Wilson is 186, and not really developed, he is no Y Bell.
Good question, ever wonder why people who don't like Wannstadt recommend him for a medal for getting him fired?
I would not make that comparison until I see him play in our uni on a pro field against pro players, I did say that from the reports that ive been hearing that it sounds like he has some Bob Sanders in him.. Bob Sanders was a guy that I wanted to go after this offseason, Top 5 favorite player for me..
Deej, hmm..OT but I think Henne finally got himself into good conditioning. As for Wilson as Bob Sanders, we will now soon enough, Sanders made a fact impact with the Colts, like 27 tackles in his first couple of games, and it is good to see you go out on a limb a bit.
Ok. Your source? There is a difference between a hung jury and an acquittal. Hung jury means not everyone voted guilty or not guilty. If everyone votes not guilty, that's an acquittal. There are only two options -- not guilty and guilty.
Wrong. On everything. The only source I need is my brain. The first trial had a hung jury. He faced trial again and was acquitted. Guilty, not guilty and innocent are all different. I get sick of lazy people. Sent from my PB99400 using Tapatalk
lol..are you fu^%in with me man?, I feel I go out on limbs all the time when it comes to this team and players.. Here I'll give you a few this offseason I'am on the record for. How bout this one SirPodster..after rewind, I'am on the record about our teams ascension in this 4th year, FU%$ OPTIMISM... our team is young and loaded with talent..SH$$, don't you know I'am on the board of the ''goody goody rah rah club...The Miami Dolphins..The most underrated team in football... We'll get rid of both Ricky, Ronnie, and Cobbs.. Chad Henne deserved to be the starter again based on variables that were going against him, and how he performed before the benching..hmmm. We'll adddress certain weaknesses that were identified, thru the draft and free agency...Rebuilt running back unit..Speed receiver..Scatback/returner...H-back..interior line upgrades, inside linebacker. Crowder needs to be cut.. Carey is a liability out there. Ckap and Dalton were in my top 5 when a lotta folks were dissing them and calling them 4 to 5th round picks... Mallett is gonna drop. We would take offensive players with our first 4 picks.. Sparano and this staff deserve this 4th year without the BS criticism..They've have equaled or done a better job than any staff in history in terms of wins and losses after taking over the 1st pick, 3 years later.. Jimmy wilson= Bob Sanders...not yet man, not until I see him under the lights..
Well I don't see the Sanders comparison, but let's hope he is nowhere near as injury prone as Sanders.
Juries are asked to return a verdict of guilty or not guilty. Simple as that. If they return a verdict of not guilty, that results in an acquittal. The judge does not give the jury 3 options, such as innocent, not guilty or guilty. ac·quit·tal/əˈkwitl/ Noun: A judgment that a person is not guilty of the crime with which the person has been charged: "the trial resulted in an acquittal" You didn't have to treat that new dude Andres so shabbily, especially when he was not wrong.
You're partly right and I was partly wrong. An acquittal doesn't necessarily mean a person is innocent as I first thought. However, "Innocent" and "not guilty" are not the same things. If I came off as treating Andres harsh, I apologize to him that was not my intention. It was late, I had been awake for nearly 20 hours. I also re-read his last post and he was correct in that there is a difference between a hung jury and acquittal. I misread his post. However, I never said they were the same thing in the first place.
The jury in Wilson's case found him "not guilty", which is why he was acquitted. They never said he was innocent and did not need to. That was not an option for the jury. I recall that being your original point, Wilson being found innocent, rather than merely not guilty. While he for all practical purposes is, there was not any court ruling proclaiming him "innocent". The defense does not need to prove their client is innocent. They only need to show there is not sufficient evidence to find him guilty. Whether one wants to make a big deal out of different meanings for 'innocent' and 'not guilty', the result for the accused is same. However one wants to say it, he becomes a free man. Since you said I'm partly right, that means in your opinion I was not totally right. What about that post is not correct in your view?
Again, I mistakenly thought that "acquitted" equaled innocent. You're right in that a jury only chooses "guilty" or "not guilty". When I was in college I took a few law classes and thought I remembered a prof telling the class that an "acquittal" is different from "not guilty" in that the former is "innocent" and the latter is just that the jury wasn't convinced the party did it due to lack of evidence. In other words, an acquittal was given when the party was innocent and a not guilty was given when the prosecution didn't provide enough evidence for a conviction. I took from your post that you thought "innocent" and "not guilty" were one in the same. That's where I think you were partly wrong. If that's not what you think, then you're not wrong at all. In fact, this is what my point has been all along...that "not guilty" does not equal "innocent". Where I was wrong is when I mistakenly thought one of my college prof's said that "acquittal" equaled "innocent".
