I hear ya... I was in Miami on a shoot I was producing a couple of years ago and we rented a mansion for our location. Well, wouldn't you know it... not ONLY was the house owner Marino's NEIGHBOUR (his house was across the street)... but the guy was a dolphins NUT. Memorabilia EVERYWHERE. Hell, we spent a half hour talking about how Mark dixon's injury had hurt our offense. Anyways, we were shooting on Saturday, set to fly out sunday and this guy invited me to the game to sit in his luxury box, then to GO ONTO THE SIDELINES!!!! I was freaking out... but we had a strict corporate policy of not accepting gestures/freebies/gifts from anyone with whom we did business. My stupid, frowny-face superiors wouldn;t let me take a later flight and go to the game. It doesn't bother me at all, though. Bpk
FINAL UPDATE: Jason Allen Finally Came In So Jason just left. Nice guy, pretty low key and laid back. He's one of those guys that is funny without trying to be. For example, a good friend of mine who works in the office was wearing an Ole Miss Baseball shirt. Jason sees him and says "Ole Miss Baseball, you played for them didnt you?" My friend says "Nope. Just a fan. You went to Tenn. right?" Jason replies with a blank look on his face, "Oh...you looked familiar" Im trying to hold back some laughter and utter the words "I guess all you SEC guys look alike" We all have a good laugh. No pictures kids sorry. And he didnt seem to responsive when I briefly talked about the Phins. He was more worried about the products he wanted to purchase (I guess thats understandable) So there you have it. My little adopted by... all grown up

THe oakland A's blog fansite i'm on Has a regular visitor in Brad Zeigler. Didn't seem like much being a AAA pitcher who has bounced around the minors his whole career, but hearing him now after his scoreless innings record is really cool. The guy is so humble and still makes time to tell the A's fans how things are going for him. It would be really cool if Allen somehow dropped by thephins.com

But i do agree, keeping your clients info close to you is a selling feature in itself. If their information is not leaked and they instill trust in you, your selling them the intangible they can trust you. Thats smart ethics by HardKore

Funny that this thread was bumped. Ernest Wilford has been in a few times recently. He's a real nice guy and after meeting him you really want him to do well. Hopefully he picks it up and starts playing like we all know he can.

in the same vein, if you came into his store and bought something, he wouldn't go telling everyone. As a business owner, it is not good business to go advertising what other people purchased or used without their approval. Now if a customer was in the store and posted it, oh well fair game but Hardcore cannot as the transaction between him and a client is private and the client regardless of who it is has expectations of privacy unless he waives that expectation.
