It's a figure of speech referencing the names that have been floated around in the thread (and on the boards). Are you not a native speaker? Do you want me to go back and edit my posts to a more formal structure?

If you'd like, though, you can come up with your own specific plan and I can tell you everything that's wrong with it.

lol Or you can just continue to be butthurt that nobody else is a fan of Addai.

Seems like the mature approach and it's working pretty well so far.

You know, I have a 97-year old grandfather with a better memory than you.

I suggested we could also bring back Ronnie Brown or sign Reggie Bush, as well.

Actually, I'd prefer Bush to the others.

lol I'm sure hes also remembers when you mentioned them on the last page and I said, "I don't like the idea of adding more injury-prone guys who can't handle a full workload if DT gets hurt." then.

    Guess you forgot.

Completely irrelevant to your previous point.

You're not the GM, sorry kid.

PS--I fist pumped the above post because you made me lol

lol Why's it irrelevant? Was the idea of avoiding signing inury-prone RBs so logical that you had to pretend it never happened?

Lmfao... I'm going to make it a spoiler, because I think you owe it to yourself to try and figure this one out on your own.

I think this forum needs to start looking at SAT scores.

Here you claim that I am blindly lobbying for Addai.

Here, I correct you by reminding you that I was open to many options to provide depth.

Here, you wrongly assume that you're in some sort of authority position, wherein your opinion is dogma.

Here I refute that notion and poke fun at you for it.

Here, you show me how it went way over your head.

You've shown yourself to be incapable of putting A and B together, so let me spell it out for you. You seem to think that your opinion towards my suggestion (of signing one of Addai, Brown or Bush) is the only opinion, therefore invalidating all others. Even if those three runningbacks were objectively bad (they're not), your statements are fallacious.

I wouldn't mind if we signed Addai, though prefer Bradshaw or DWill more. As for Thomas not being a pass catching back, I'm not sure why you would say that. He did fine when thrown to in college. Showed he could extend and catch the ball with his hands, while in stride. I don't know what else he'd have to do to show he isn't lacking as a receiving threat.

Other than 2010, I'd say Addai has been more durable than Brown.

lol Again, stop being butthurt when people don't share your opinion.

I like how I'm the one who thinks my opinion is the only one that matters, but you got your panties in a wad as soon as I mentioned dislike for Addai, Bush, and Brown.

He hasn't missed as much time, but every season he's always got those lingering issues that limit him.

I just see very little upside in signing Addai. It seems like just swapping Brown out for a similar player with the same pitfalls.

I keep forgetting about Bradshaw (funny because I live in Giants territory). He's definitely a guy I'd like as well.

As I mentioned to Slick before, I don't think DWill will be worth the price we'll have to pay. It's not like he's the only missing piece to the puzzle. The production we could get from the other guys we're discussing would come as a much better value.

Very few runningbacks can't catch at all... I just want to have a guy that I know can do it very well at the NFL level. Addai fits the mold.

I just don't think Thomas is good enough to be a complete feature back. Not only do we need a complement, but one that can specialize in some area. Pass-catching and speed are areas that I think could be improved on.

The more and more I think about it, I think Reggie Bush is perfect.

Lol and I like how you're the one that keeps changing your story.

There's a lot to like about you, isn't there? :wink2:

Edit: To your post below, I don't even know what you're talking about. Not gonna bump this again for it.

I had fun playing with you, though. Great for rainy days.

Like how I was the one acting like my opinion was superior? I was the one that said it's not madden, right? Yep, that sounds like me and my superior opinion.

IMO it'd be nice to get a back that is a frontside runner. I wouldn't mind Ricky Williams back. Thomas is a bit of both but I think he strikes it big when he plays the cutback. He really fits this offensive philosophy IMO and I know some disagree but he's a really talented back. He can run on the frontside, he can be a cutback runner, he's got some pretty good hands, he can handle the workload and he's got good vision IMO. If or when he learns pass protection at the NFL level, then it'll be really interesting to see what kind of player he becomes.

Ugh it's just like a woman to bring that up.

The "Lol u mad bro?" thing is amusing to you? You must of been one of the 5 people that thought Carlos Mencia was funny.

Even with his lack of durability, something like 20 games missed since 2007, I think Reggie will be more expensive if he makes the open market, than anyone other than maybe DWill.
Sproles would be a good choice too. Jerious Norwood maybe too. If we are going to try and be frugal. Another name that came to mind is Jason Snelling. Depends if we want another pounder or a change of pace back.

I still think Sproles is a decent consolation prize for missing Bradshaw.

Better option than Reggie Bush for the money, imo.

We'd def need another larger RB if did end up w Sproles or Bush.

Not that I'm against it or anything, just sayin.

A guy who is decent but not spectacularly productive in an offense where Pierre Garcon puts up good numbers?

I *like* the idea of them signing Addai. But that's because he's been saddled with a bad OL for most of his career. He's not anything special in the passing game.

Actually the Bro thing is for you, not me. Looks like it got to you!

The Mencia thing was funny though, lol

    Why? Isn't Thomas 228 and Hilliard 240?

    Oh, and good morning :)

Only way it'd get to me is if Sarah Palin was really here. Then I'd play the back 9 just to infuriate her.

I don't think Hilliard really deserves a spot on the roster. If we can upgrade him I'm all for it.

lol Oooo a 3rd year WR had 9 drops. If this was Hartline we'd be kissing his *** over the 11ypc.

If you're so concerned about drops then you surely noticed Brandon Marshall a few pegs higher on that dropped passes list while you were doing your research, right?

PFF has him with 13 drops. Tied for league lead. He caught 56.3% of his passes, which is awful. The year before he was worse, bringing in 53%.

And why would we kiss Brian Hartline's *** over a pedestrian 11ypc when his was 14.3 this year? It's also worth noting he caught about 10% more of the passes thrown his way than Garcon did.

Yes, but Brandon Marshall caught nearly 10% more of the passes thrown at him than Garcon, and did so much more tightly covered in an offense that had problems getting him the ball in space.

Not the same dropped pass stat I've scene anywhere else.

    http://stats.nj.com/fb/playerstats.asp?id=8982&team=11 Has him at 9 drops, 56% to Hartline's 3 and 58%.

Either way, Garcon has skills. He can run a ton of diff routes and is a big target in the redzone for his size. Pretty damn impressive for a 6th round pick about to enter his 4th year.
