G4TV is lining up the advertisers, I’m sure.

So. What does Sony need five hours to talk about? Let me speculate:

Part 1: “We’re really sorry about PSN.”
    Part 2: “NGP is awesome.”
    Part 3: “PS3 is awesomer.”
    Part 4: “PS4, *****es.”

Uh, 5 hrs is a ridiculous amount of time. I couldn't imagine sitting through that, unless everything presented (footage-wise at the very least) was brand new.

No one should have a longer than 3 hour presentation IMO.

IMO, one hour should be the limit. Eliminate the needless filler and investor reports from presentations and they’ll suddenly take only half as long.

Still, Sony has something up their sleeves if they need five hours. I’m especially intrigued by that “special event afterwards”. Playable NGP or something else entirely?

Next Generation Portable. This is the name the presumptive PSP2 hardware was announced under and the acronym it’s generally referred to as in the gaming and tech media.

Thanks! I'm surprised companies are making portable gaming devices still. With how high tech phones are becoming, I can see less and less of a demand for these types of things. Except for kids whose parents might not let them have phones, which is the big reason I think the Nintendo DS does so much better than PSP.

If that were true, parents would opt for the iPod Touch over the DS.

In the end, dedicated portable gaming devices are just better at what they do than even the iPhone.

If it happens, I don’t think it’ll be announced at a first party event. Rockstar will do their own thing.
