thats the challenge for the heat. regardless of whether the refs are good or bad, the heat rely on the line. i like it better when guys can play and aren't nickle and dimed on foul calls, because then i think the legitimacy of the sport comes into question, but thats me
Relying on the line is a bit of a reach. is it part of their game? sure. But to say they rely on it, is a reach. They score in many other fashions.
I'll just be a baby about it and take my talents to Finheaven if the new mods want to be like that. Gimme a break. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
I tend to think the legitimacy of the sport comes into question when they let guys get away with fouls. James and Wade attack the basket. They're naturally going to get foul calls, because they are good at beating their man off the dribble and finishing strong.
ok. relies on them more than other players or teams league average % of points coming from free throws: 18.6 % Heat average % of points coming from free throws: 21 % Wade average % of points coming from free throws: 25.5% all players classified as "G" in Wade's category: 20.4% stats from yahoo Game 1 wade generated 22.2% of his points from free throws, closer to his reg. season average than the 30% against the celtics as a team they were at 18.3%, down from their reg. season average but near the league average they need the calls
Good game tonight. The Heat look pretty strong at times. Same with the Bulls.... Toe to toe so far. Should be one hell of a second half.
NFL officiating is bad. NBA officiating is rigged. And the Heat overcame it anyway. Good game, Bulls fans. See you in Miami.
Rigged? Good game but what about Bloodgate? Wade elbow band.... Just asking. You didn't post all night. Till there was a result..... WTF.
Yeah, rigged. Tim Donaghy? Ring a bell? This is documented stuff. I was on Heatfreak all night. You can check my posts there.
It will be interesting to see how the games are officiated in Miami. We've seen the Heat take fewer free throws than Chicago in both games when they should have had advantages IMO. Should have been a significant advantage tonight IM(biased)O.
I dont know if anybody knows what I am talking about, but I literally saw a blantant charge on Rose go uncalled, if that wasnt a charge I dont think I know what one is....late 3rd possible 4th qtr?? Also havent watched the Bulls much at all, but all I hear is Rose around the basket is good, huh?? That kid cant finish worth of crap....
Sorry...Chicago had NO business shooting more free throws than Miami in these two games considering that the Heat is killing them with paint points and having their offense going almost exclusively at the rim. But hey, you know what that's like, your favorite player (Durant) shoots 19 FT's while shooting jumpers all over the place. Dirk shoots 24 in the same game. Heat can't buy a call.
The worst was when Wade lost the ball off Asik's chest and it was ruled Bulls ball. they refused to even go to the video.
The better one was...Wade drives to the rim...Asik obviously fouls him. THERE IS BLOOD ON ASIK AND WADE....no foul call. "No blood no foul?" well..there WAS blood...
correlating points in the paint to foul calls is a reach. The rate of what should be called isn't always going to be the same.
Yeah, and it's none other than Reggie Miller, who really has it in for the Heat. He was jumping for joy when Chicago's shots were falling in game one. On that charge, he was saying lets see if he leans to the left and of the one replay they showed, you could not remotely tell if he did or could have leaned even the slightest. Miller says yep, good call by the refs.....
