Miami signs 2 DT's to be added to the 2011 class. Corey King and Darius Smith. One of them is 345 lbs. We need that kind of size since we're running some 3-4.

Canes get another QB transfer. Former Miramar QB Ryan Williams is transferring from Memphis. He's a senior. Can't hurt to have depth I guess.
He's actually going to be a sophomore in '12 after sitting out next year. He's a big kid, 6'6, 220 as a true freshman. Nice to see the 'Canes bringing in as much competition as they can for the QB job. You're right, he is a Soph. Was looking at a completely different Ryan Williams who played for Memphis apparently... I think Forcier is going to be a very good Qb for us. Most Michigan fans I've spoke to have had great things to say about him. They say he's going to be great for us in our pro-style offense.
In basketball news, Reggie Johnson has decided to return for his Junior year. This is huge news for us. He's by far our best big.

Canes took game 1 vs UVA in Charlottesville, beating Danny Hultzer, who's one of the best pitchers in the country (1.51 ERA). What a weird team.
Exciting news about a Miami alum coming tomorrow according to Al Golden. My guess is either Russell Maryland or Jimmy Johnson will be inducted into College Hall of Fame, most likely Maryland since JJ is an Arkansas alum.

Sucks, but it is what it is. Lamar Miller will be a great player for us. Mike James is a good back as well. Duke Johnson will be a stud as well. Oh, and there's one of the best RB prospects I've ever seen in Sony Michel who comes out in 2014 and will be a Cane unless he follows the money to the SEC. We're set at RB for some time.
RB Wes Brown gets an offer. This is potentially huge news. Wes Brown and his teammate WR Stefon Diggs are big fans of Miami, and both want to play on the same team. Both are among the best at their position in the nation.
For all the star whores out there, 6 out of Miami's 8 commits are 4 stars. With as much as offers has to do with ratings, I expect Kirby to move up to a 5 star when scout and rivals update their ratings. Duke Johnson too. Jontavious Carter may become a 4 star as well should the SEC schools who are looking at him hard offer him. Gray Crow, who knows with him. Has all the arm talent you could want in a QB, but we'll see how everything else it takes to be a QB comes together for him. I fully expect us to land Deon Bush, Stefon Diggs, and Wes Brown as well. Eddie Goldman is a strong possibility too, and seeing 2 fellow players from DC come here could only help us I would imagine. There's more, but those are the big talents as of now. I also expect us to land another QB. Maybe Chad Kelly or Preston Dewey. I also have to imagine we land a good TE in this class, though not sure who.

A couple of things of note. Because of the lockout, a lot of former Hurricanes are training at the campus and interacting with the players and new recruits. Also mentioned was that Jimmy Johnson gave a 90 min speech before a recent scrimmage. I would love to hear that if it's available somewhere.
Pausing the interview and googling was the first thing I did when I heard JJ gave a 90 minute speech. Sadly, I don't think there's anything out there.
Canes get commitment from 2013 WR Levonte "Kermit" Whitfield. Kid looks very impressive on his sophomore tape, and will probably end up one of the best WR's in the state. He's also a track star. Also a cousin of Marvin Bracy apparently, so who knows, maybe this swings Bracy towards us.

OT Ereck Flowers commits to Miami. Haven't watched any tape on him, so don't really have an opinion on him. At 6'6, 305, I like his size though. He's teammates with the Duke and Keith Brown.
