Eagles coach Andy Reid says he will approach CB Lito Sheppard about his contract situation soon. Reid left the door open for Sheppard's deal to be upgraded. Sheppard has not gone public with his frustration to this point. The Eagles' first post-draft minicamp begins Saturday. It is uncertain whether Sheppard will attend. I wouldn't mind getting Sheppard. We need a true #1 corner to put Will Allen at his rightful #2 spot.
Sheppard I could deal with. But you have to stockpile talent behind him cause he misses a few games a year
Eh, I thought it was above average but not in the top 10-15. He'll be a very good #2 guy but he's not someone I'd count on as the bedrock of the secondary or someone to put on a guy like Randy Moss or Chad Johnson, heck not even Lee Evans.
That's him. I've always thought he had a soft spot for Dolphins anyways. Not one GM with an actual playmaking and shutdown #1 corner would ever trade straight up for Will Allen. There are at least 20 corners I'd place before Allen.
