He's starting to get a strong buzz around him in the IWC now, hopefully the WWE starts to give him a push as he has personality light years ahead of 90% of the main rosters right now.

They get better. I'm sure the WWE is taking notice of them, and if they're not someone isn't doing his/her job. But seriously the guy should get a push for these especially in this day and age with social media outlets, the guy could be a star. He's getting tons of views and he's not even on RAW or Smackdown.

 

I actually read a pretty good idea for Zach Ryder the other day. Basically, since he was one of the Edge Heads. He should pop up on SD, and remind Christian that he was good friends with Edge and all that. Christian acknolwedges it, but doesn't seem to care too much, being more concerned with his upcoming title match. Zach keeps butting in and eventually, helps Christian win the title, albeit reluctantly on Christian's behalf.

Zach keeps bugging him as a comedic foil until one day he turns on Christian, on account of trying to be Christian's friend but never getting the respect he feels was owed to him, etc. etc. You either have him cost Christian the title or challenge for it after a big beatdown and you probably have yourself a decent lil match and mini-feud for one of the off PPV's.

Sounded good to me anyway.

 

Also, looks like Alberto Del Rio is switching to Raw. Which probably means Christian is taking the title at the PPV. Just my take on it. Unless they are going to do the world championship switch where Miz and his title go to SD! and ADR wins his title on Sunday and brings it with him to Raw.

 

I don't know about you guys, but I really like R Truth as a heel.

There was also a 'Woo Woo Woo' sign too shown earlier in the night. Zack Ryder is on Twitter has has been mentioning seeing the signs tonight. He's pretty entertaining to follow too.

 

Kind of disappointing having Cena get drafted 2 times in one night, it feels a little like a cop out. I figured he'd go over to Smackdown until Summer Slam and then randomly start showing up on RAW without an explanation. Oh well.

The rest of the draft is taking place on WWE.com at noon tomorrow. You'll see the Ted DiBiases of the world moving around.

 

Smackdown is pretty light on heels right now (unless you want to count Mark Henry who looks like is going to get his 49583923 push) with Del Rio moving to RAW so you have to figure Sheamus and possibly R-Truth is heading over today. I fear that Punk might get sent over too simply because RAW has a lot invested in both Miz and Del Rio so their may not be room for a 3rd main event heel on the roster. I'm hoping Punk stays though.

 

Only picks so far have been Bryan to Smackdown and Jack Swagger to RAW. Not a big shock with either move, although Swagger to RAW weakens Smackdowns already weak heel side. I still think Sheamus is headed to Smackdown and I'm starting to think Punk will move there too.

 

So they drafted Cena to smackdown and then back to Raw? That sounds pretty stupid. Why not just leave him alone entirely? I only watched the first half hour last night.

 

They did that with Cena most likely to show that anything can happen still in the WWE. The logic is very flawed, but at least they didn't do the predictable "one champion is drafted and then his equvilant is drafted back," garbage they usually do.

The supplemental draft was today. Nothing too major. Sheamus and the U.S. title go to SD!, as does Bryan. Kofi Kingston and Swagger head to Raw. The rest was pretty much filler.

More concerning to me is the scuttlebut that CM Punk's contract is up soon and he may not be resigning due to not liking how he has been handled. He would be a vast blow to the WWE if he is gone. Here is hoping they work something out, if true.

 

Yeah it's a shame with Punk but it's clear that there are guys with power that just don't like him. There's no reason why he shouldn't be a World Champ on either brand right now. The guy has been the MVP of RAW since Octoberish. Now until he signs a new contract he's going to be on his back more than a porn star.

 

Losing some real talent could force them to step their game up.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing Punk back in ROH, if he'd head back.

 

I know titles are now props now and really dont mean much but I am really really glad that Christian is WHC! Deserves it!

 

Definitely nice seeing Christian win the big gold belt last night, I never thought it would happen but he deserved it.

Anyway kind of bummed that Cena won the title last night as it looks like it leaves The Miz with nothing to do now as Morrison will continue his feud with R-Truth and I'd guess Del Rio is now Cena's next feud. Maybe Miz/Mysterio? Either way I think it would have been better to keep the belt on The Miz until maybe mid-summer then give Cena the belt and have him face off with Del Rio at Summer Slam for the title.

It wasn't surprising to see Kofi beat Sheamus for the US title as RAW needed a secondary title and while I'm sure Sheamus will be Christian's first challenger for the new belt (although I'd give Barrett the nod instead) I still have to question how the WWE uses Sheamus as they make him look. If they're serious in getting him over he's got to be a monster heel and just beat the crap out of everything in sight (ala Brock Lesnar when he first debuted). The WWE should treat Sheamus like a new wrestler and totally repackage him that way.

Dave Lagana pitched during the week that he'd loved to see Daniel Bryan turn heel and have William Regal be his manager and have Regal slowly build a stable. I love that idea as Regal's in ring days are just about over but the guy can still talk and Bryan has the wrestling skills but zero personality.

 

Yeah, it is odd that they have Cena win the belt back at a secondary PPV as opposed to WM. At this point, it would have been better to have someone interfere and cost Cena the title, Miz gets to hit his finisher and pin him and move on. Hell, have ADR run down, and be the guy to cost Cena the belt and you have your summer feud that doesn't need a belt. Miz goes on to Morrison or whoever and your top two feuds for Raw are set.

As for Christian, that is excellent to see him win. Sheamus very well could be the guy to challenge him as I have a feeling that a big push is forthcoming now that he is re-signed. I also like the idea of Regal being the manager of a stable. Have Christian figure officially "retire" Regal or somehow besmirch him, only to have him second Sheamus out for a match, and then Bryan and possibly even Barrett (assuming that Corre is breaking up). Having an international contigency to face Christian does a lot as he gets a heated heel stable and Christian truly becomes a WORLD Champion.

 

Great call on Regal managing Sheamus. A stable of Sheamus, Bryan and a tag team (the WWE still does tag teams right?) obviously makes the most sense. Christian, Randy Orton and someone else could easily be the feuds going back and forth during the months leading up to WM. I'd leave Barrett alone only because I think he's fine on the mike on his own but you'd have to have The Corre break up (which isn't a bad deal since that gimmick is played out already now).

As for the Miz/Cena/Morrison match, Miz was complaining on Twitter that weekend how Alex Riley was taken from him via the draft so maybe have Riley help Miz one last time or have Miz get a new lackey (Zack Ryder would have fit there) to help him get the cheap win. Of course Del Rio could have helped out too like you stated. It just seems weird giving Cena the title now like you said at a 2nd rate PPV. Unless the WWE is planning on The Rock screwing Cena out of the title tonight during Rock's B-Day Bash.

RAW should be interesting tonight.

 

I am liking the Regal idea more and more and thinking that if you develop it over time, you could have a pretty cool blowoff at Survivor Series. Without going too far in to detail (unless you guys want me to fantasy book), you could have it be a blow off of Team Regal (Bryan, Sheamus, Barrett, Riley) vs. Christian, Orton, Sin Cara and say, Kane. Have Regal's goal go from hiring a charge to exact revenge on Christian and take his title, to eventually unifying and attacking others that may be in his way. I would think that if you wanted to, you could switch Barrett for Dibiase and play up the background between he and Orton. And Sin Cara getting some run with Bryan would make for some interesting sequences. You could also replace Riley with Gabriel, but I get the feleing that if and when Corre breaks up, that Gabriel will become a babyface. He seems like a natural for it.

And I put Kane in there just to flesh out a SD Survivor Series main event. You could have someone like sheamus and Riley cost ShowKane their titles to write him in.

WWE announced John Cena vs. The Miz tonight in the main event. No word on whether or not it's for the WWE title but if it is I think we'll see a title change.

 

When was the last time there was actually a world title change on a non-PPV?

 

The Miz won the WWE title back in November.

 

Shows how often I tune in nowadays I guess ...

 

RAW was kind of lackluster. Again, and this has been true since Feb, the only good parts of RAW have been when The Rock is on screen. Although I think The Miz is going to be in a 'Jericho Conspiracy' angle now with the match being reversed on top of Riley leaving for Smackdown and him having to face Cena & Morrison in a cage match. I think he will be able to pull it off well since he's pretty good on the mike and he has the WCW Jericho Chicken Poo likeness to his character.

 

Nice job WWE for crapping on the fans at the Smackdown taping

Randy Orton beats Christian to win the World title. I mean couldn't the guy keep the belt until the next PPV? They freaking give Kane a 5 month reign when he wasn't drawing a dime but can't give Christian, who's over and a fan favorite, a few weeks to see what he could do? Just terrible.

 

This pisses me off.

That sucks, but you knew it was going to happen. When they reshuffled the deck, it proved how much faith they had with that roster on SD.
