When you see a NFL player make a game changing mistake, do you hold a grudge against that player?

Depends on if it is a repetitive mistake. I'm not talking young guys or rookies.
More like Crowder who never got better. Continued through his career to make the same mistakes.
Just an example before everyone gets their panties in a bunch. :wink2:

after rewatching the first 3 games with a different perspective, I'am holding a huge grudge againt Ronnie and Ricky, a fed up type grudge, and I dont think its gonna get better, they did nothing in three games to help us overcome..we won in spite of them and they contributed to the loss..

    Good lord, your avatars suck.

I don't necessarily hold grudges against the players. The coaches who sometimes call game changing plays, like a Ricky halfback pass, yeah I hold a grudge.

This. Looking at you, Carson Palmer.

Oh, I also hold the Tuck Rule against Tom Brady even though the referees pulled that one out of hammerspace.

It's hard for me to fault them, though.

That whole offense was a train wreck.

What's not to love about hardcore Dolphin fans I must ask?

Yeah don't get me started on Dan Henning.
That call against Buffalo was a cute little Henning special.
Good God that was a horrible play call.
Amongst many, many others while he was here.

My hatred for that man runs real long.

I don't hold grudges, but if I ever see Gene Steratore, I might see to it he loses his legs regardless of whether or not he keeps the mob bosses happy.

    Genuine mistakes? No.

    Once.

    Repeated mistakes and bad play...definitely.

These guys are professionals. They are supposed to be the creme de la creme.

They represent an elite number—about 1700—out of about 500 college football teams, each with about 100 players on their rosters.

When one of them can't manage to catch a football consistently, or make tackles, or block adequately—it dishonors the opportunity they've been given over the thousands of guys who didn't make NFL rosters.

My wife and I watch Dolphins games together now that I've matured enough not to be
    throwing things through windows.

The first thing we both scream when a Dolphins WR catches the ball is..."HOLD ONTO THE BALL!"

Fumbles just kill me. I mean, they kill me. One thing my HS football coach taught me that goes for
life as well as football is..."Trail the play"......If you keep moving towards the goal, even though you might be slower
than everyone else, sometimes, the ball moves backwards, and, you're the guy there for the big play.
He bred pursuit by a simple motto of "Trail the play". You treasure the ball. It's not just lip service. I recovered exactly
ONE fumble my two years of varsity ball. I'll always remember the HB that lost the ball coming back and
    thumping me on my helmet.

I hate fumbles like the........Thing I most hate other than fumbles X3!

INTs are subjective..A tip here or there...A this or a that....

Fumbles...You just flat out lost the battle of will to control the ball.

Try the fumble agaisnt the Chefs that resulted in an entire turn around of the game.

I remember THAT fumble being when I washed my hands of Sammie Smith.

The trade? That, I regard as a wash....To this day I maintain BH had more talent though.

Going off memory alone that drive in KC was the first drive of the football game and it was a 14 point swing when smith fumbled at the GL.
Escapes me who returned it for the TD..... We weren't going to stop Okoye that day anyhow..... Blown out.

When Smith fumbled into the EZ against Houston it was to win the football game. Ball came out and was recovered at the back of the EZ
    As I remeber it really....

KC was overpowering us. I remember one dumbass announcer that mentioned our NT being a "PRO BOWLER that just got bulldozed 5 yards down the field"
I screamed back at the TV "YOU"RE ****ING STUPID!" It was Shaun..Sean....S someone....Anywyas...It was terrible.

Were we going to win? No. But a 14 point swing effectively ended the game.

**** that guy. **** him right up the ***.

To be fair...It WASN'T a single play though..I mean, the reason
Sammie Smith can eat a big *****.

You should fault them, they deserved it Silver, thru the first 3 games they were pathetic, Henne and Marshall were clickin, bess and Hartline had a beautiful game against the Jets..Henne played his best game as a pro, he was superb in the jet game, Solid thru in the first 2..... All three games, ronnie and ricky were a couple of Pu##ies...I swear they were..Disturbing and indicting..

There is a reason why those 2 weren't offered contracts...Those two did not find their highest level to play at..They did not emotionally invest..

There comes a point where you accept, for whatever reason, the team that wears your colors can't
hold onto the ball. I realized after I got so mad I made my wife and children flee to another room
(The Monday Night Miricale) I needed to just sever certain emotional level ties to the Dolphins.

Now, I sort of expect it.

I would think that such changes would better the chances in the fight versus the Bills for draft picks :confused2:

Can you hate Jimmy Johnson for taking Marino's ability to audible at the line of scrimmage away? Or for his bringing his buddy Wannstedt in after he had decimated the Bears?

I wouldn't exactly go that far. Sure, Henne and Marshall were clicking, but the run game wasn't. Plus, where was Henne the last 13 games. And to be fair, I don't think any of our free agents besides Incognito and Soliai were offered contracts yet.

Well, my boss says I am not supposed to hate my enemies, but instead to love everybody...

But with His Hairness Johnson, I would have to really stretch that to say that I would love Jimmy Johnson at least a mite less than getting a root canal without novocaine and his memories remind me of the reason that they give you pain medication following such instances..

Even then, the memories of that calamity just keep on giving - sort of like the pain and burning from an itch you can't scratch in public, because that is similar in location and intensity to the pain he caused in his tenure with the Dolphins. And I would rather get a proctological exam from the Roto Rooter man than go through Wannstedt again... OY!!

    No, I don't carry a grudge. I just have a long memory..

Personally speaking, if I held a grudge against every player whoever made a mistake on the field, that would be everyone lol. Throwing a pick, dropping a pass, a fumble, its called football... Players are only human! Swinging at a guy at a bad moment in the game and getting a stupid penalty - now that's different, that's discipline and there is absolutely no excuse for it.
