nice pick w Oordt, would have been my pick at 203 been dlirting with him for a while, had harper not been there at 191 may have taken him. very good receiving TE prospect, not much of a blocker tho
I had both of them on my boards, but Ugo can actually play standing up and is good situational rusher who can play back forth between end and olb. Romeus has his injury issues, and I would take Allen as a pure End if I had room but he's a bit slow too.
In the real NFL draft, Allen is a legitimate candidate to be taken in the 3rd round, and Romeus could go as high as the 4th if he checks out medically. Getting both this late? Arguably better steals than Cameron Heyward at 44.
I think you missed my subtext. IMO, a team will make a bad decision and take him as early as the 4th.
Alen just hates Romeus. Pierre Allen was a steal anywhere from the 4th round on. Great pick. I don’t know how he fell so far.
Forget Romeus and Allen, Big news out of Minnesota is that Adrian Peterson is coming back to the Vikings because of an invalid trade. Pick #208 was dealt twice to the Lions, then to the Vikings. Thus nulling the proposed Peterson trade.
I guess in that case those picks made by Schisno of JAX's just go to JAX's roster, who can either keep them cut them or trade them for players who better fit their roster.
The Damning evidence Jacksonville trades 7th rounder pick 208 to Lions for QB Shaun Hill-$2,273,225.00 Originally Posted by ether79 Jacksonville Trades Knowshown Moreno 1,000,000 and draft picks Round 4. 120, Round 6. 183, Round 6. 185, Round 6. 177 Round 7. 208 To Minnesota for Adrian Peterson $10,720,000.00
There's 2 players left that I really want, so how about everyone just skip their picks from here on out?
i looked at the official draft list and saw the lions at 208, and wonder how that happened because i had gotten the pick front Jaguars. a little digging and voila, it's just like the accounting job that landed Peyton in Tennessee... so as Paul pointed out this falls within that same jurisdiction. The Vikings have had enough injustice's this offseason, everyone put the blame on Shaun Hill
That’s a bit weak. Griddles doesn’t update the order in the official draft thread until he edits the list to reflect recent selections.
The way this works is either the Jags give the Vikings what they think is equal value back for 208 or Adrian Peterson is returned. The fact is the Jags need to keep better records. Truthfully this is what screwed the Vikings when going after Peyton.
Well truth be told I could have had Manning if my records weren't double checked, and I agreed with the outcome when we realized the error. Just asking the same as it is happening now.
Flip a coin. Heads, Jags keep AP. Tails, Vikings get AP back. If the opening Super Bowl possession can be decided on a coin flip, anything can.
