I think its even stranger you misinterpeted what I said.

Those were not MY feelings on Newton, what I think has no bearing on Cams career. I think its pretty obvious Cam has an amazingly high cieling, and also a chance to be a total flop.

If Silver feels confident the former will happen then its a great move for him to go get who HE feels could be a special player.

Sounded like you were endorsing Newton to me. And you said publicly you were pretty conflicted about who to pick at #2, which factored into my interpretation of your post.

Every player has bust potential, that’s part of the risk. It’s just that quarterback busts hurt more.

St. Louis had their pick forfeited which means that the Vikings were on the clock the entire time ... they had back to back to back picks which it looks like they just missed 26 minutes ago ... so we are not really that far off of schedule.

We'll do some PMing and try to get them sorted out.

Again, bulletins really help us out.

GIK has said you can pick when you're on the clock, though he wouldn't do it himself, it's perfectly fine, so if you're on the clock JMH, you can pick if you want.

The Jets are on the clock; because schisno has 3 straight picks and I'm sure something went wrong at work and he's just running late... I'm going to let the draft go as if he already picked. When he returns he can make his selections. So just act as if he made his three selections and the Jets are on the clock.

Being it's this late in the draft, I think this is the right way to handle things.

    Sent him a PM.

Being TT is OTC again (well, after GB re-picks), I'm just going to allow them to make all three of their picks. Usually TT is good about making his picks so I think we'll be seeing three picks from him before morning.

My roster is capped out and none of the guys left frankly would be in consideration for a roster spot so I am allowing you to skip me. If I should do some kind of unforeseen unbalanced trade (i.e. a 3-1 type deal ) to free up cap space I reserve the right to pull a vikings and run up with my card and take the BPA with my pick but I cant forsee that happening.

You could also draft a guy and trade him elsewhere for a player on a roster you like, if one such exists.

Frankly theres no one left I want to free up the necessary $20k to sign him and Im pretty happy with my team. At this point Im not really sure whats left for me to improve? 4th string TE? Add a 6th CB?

Last year we had a practice squad (which you didn't have to use or fill even if you did use it), you could draft for that.

No practice squad this year. I asked Griddles about that. Like I said told GIK, I could be a douche and take the best player available just so someone else doesnt get him but if I am not going to sign him why? I dont really need a 5th string tailback or a 4th string RG. Plus Id have to cut a player just to sign him so...next :)
