Doss is a good player. Its a slight reach but I don't think its bad IMO. I think he's a better Guard but if you can put weight on him, he can be a good Center. He surprisingly anchors well. You wouldn't think so at his weight but he does and he can re-anchor.
Bears with another reach but again, not bad considering the drop off after Rackley IMO. EDIT: Forgot one. After the one, then there's a drop off.
Dont know dude. But I am looking to move for him sooner then later. Someone, anyone...wanna take my picks?
Don't really see the issue with what I said. I didn't bad mouth you lol but hey, if it bugs you, then OK. Surprised you were willing to comment on House since you don't know anything about him yet he was on your board somehow. Brilliant.
I tend to agree on House; he doesnt impress me. But hey some werent impressed with Castonzo as my first round pick and I love the pick. We all have our biases.
He isnt physical. He plays from behind too much. His pad level is too high which affects both his tackling and his ability to recover. He has good recovery speed but because of his pad level he has trouble getting back up to second gear. House doesnt look comfortable or effective as a press corner as his arm extension and lack of physicality really stand out to me there. Has to get more fluid in and out of breaks imo. It was probably 25-30 picks too early for him in my opinion. I wasnt really looking for CB's though so I didnt care.
I don't really see how he's not physical but OK and his tackling is pretty good. In what games did you see this? I'd like to go watch it.
I shouldn't have used the word "board". I should have said, "sheet of paper I'm crossing names off of that has pretty much everyone on it". I don't have to know anything about House. I know just about most of what I've heard or read has him projected as a 4th round player at best. Whether you like him or not, it was a reach if there ever was one. It doesn't bother me what you said. But expect a little jab when you call our last 2 picks a reach, no matter how nicely you phrase it No hard feelings man. Enjoy the rest of your draft.
How does that work? You comment on him but you don't have to know anything about him? I'll keep that in mind when I start discussing UDFA longshot John Doe from the University of Rollins College. Who has said 4th round? Scott Wright? If you want a pretty good site, go to NFL Draft Scout. They had him as a 2nd to 3rd rounder two days ago. I don't know what the rankings look like now but feel free to check it. Reach is not always a bad thing. Why does everyone think it is? I don't really have any issues with you throwing jabs but when you admit you don't know what you're talking about and then throw the job, its a little funny, no? Likewise.
You know, I've seen those games as well and he looked pretty good despite playing the entire year on an ankle sprain and practicing in a boot. He was at 80% and still did pretty well. If you go to his '09 tape, he was also very good. He gets high, sure, but most cornerbacks do because they're college guys who are not consistent. Vontae Davis had the same issue. Sean Smith did. Prince Amukamara gets high at times and it costs him.
Here it is for people who trust NFL Draft Scout or go by their rankings: http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/players.php?genpos=CB&draftyear=2011&sortby=tsxpos&order=ASC 6th cornerback rated. 1-2 round grade. In the GM league, when I took him, he was the 6th cornerback and I took him at 37. Make what you want out of it.
Those guys faced a higher level of competition and that matters to me. Youre comparing guys like Davis and Prince in particular to House is not a good one in my opinion. Even Draftscout which I agree is a good site has him as the 54th best player and thats still stretching it to me. I cant agree with you bro as much as I respect your opinion. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings/TSX/2011_CB
Its not really about level of competition when it comes to technique to me. You're either high or you're not, right? Your footwork is choppy or not, right? You're high cut or you're not, right?
Right but youre saying he didnt look that bad in those games. Im saying vs higher quality players he would have looked MUCH worse. Those mistakes would have cost him more. As it was he didnt look good to me then. He plays high and he isnt fluid as it is.
I don't think he would have looked much worse, personally. I think he's pretty fluid for his size. He looked pretty good last year on a high ankle sprain. Go to his 09 tape and you'll see what I'm talking about. The guy played hurt last year. That's just my opinion though.
Chiefs will be entertaining offers for 76, so anyone that wants to get ahead of both of these guys let me know.
