Thanks bro. I was debating the pick for hours yesterday at work and didnt really make a decision til I woke up this morning. He should compliment Michael Bush nicely in my RB rotation.
I know i am OTC, but i was offered a trade and accepted. But i havent heard back from the other team yet.
I think Bailey at this point is a good pick. The guy obviously has the physical ability, he just needs to become more consistant. I think many of the UM players have an elevated upside because the awful coaching they recieved at Miami stunted their growth. Calais Campbell was similar to Bailey in that he had great size and ability, but was extremely inconsistant. After a couple years with real coaching in the NFL, he developed into a pretty good player. Bailey to me has even more talent than Campbell and thus a higher upside if he can be coached up.
Yea, there's a number of real good players still out there IMO. Bailey wouldn't be on that list of real good players though.
I think those are the things he's going to have to be coached up on. Bailey to me has more natural ability though and is a better athlete.
Presuming Ijalana is going to be Marshal Yanda’s replacement. () Nice pick if so. Ijalana can start immediately.
The Two Best guys on my board were lineman. Hudson can play Center or Guard so thats nice to have that versatility. Also he will be the starting center when Matt Birk is no longer with Ravens. Ijalana is a small school prospect but there is a lot to like about him. He might be able to play tackle so he will practice at RT in case he is needed however his best position in the NFL is going to be Guard.
Obviously you know more about these guys than probably anyone here so it helps that you think they are good picks . I liked both guys too and think they could have long futures in the NFL
Maybe I don't. The guys here know what they are talking about and doing. I'm just trying to add my opinion and fit in.
Going to say that Ijalana was an excellent pick, especially for the value, but that might be a little early for Hudson. Then again, good players are good players. Agree with Alen, very good picks by the Ravens.
Thats just crossing the line Pete. I wish I'd never read that. For the record Skeet did well. I was waiting for that big OT to come off the board. He should have probably gone 10-15 picks ago but I had no need and I guess other teams didnt either. If you wanted a guard, theres one other player I liked more then Hudson but still not a bad pick by any stretch.
I agree. That's the risk with a player like that. But IMO, his upside is worth the risk at that point of the draft.
Just for the Record Hudson was drafted to be a center not a guard but the fact he can play both is just a plus.
That was the exact pick I was planning on taking him with as late as Friday night. Well done man, well done.
I really like Jones, I kind of figured some would think it was a reach though... I think some have him graded lower than I do. Good to know I'm not the only one who likes him...
I was targeting him as well to play center and be a backup guard. Two rounds too early, imo. But, the WR position is pretty thin now in the draft.
Providing San Diego can get online to make their pick tonight, Bears are ready with their next pick. Otherwise, we will wait patiently until tomorrow afternoon. 2 rounds? I would be pretty shocked if Tandon Doss made it out of the 2nd round in the real draft. And will eat my pants if he is still on the board after the 3rd.
I know a bit do, I actually had roughly a high 3rd grade on him (and Doss since we're talking about him too) but with the way the draft is breaking they made perfect sense.
And there goes Pete. Interesting selection. I knew you were going there but I thought it would be a different player. Still nicely done.
