In a recent article, the New York Post has called new GM Boik14 "crazy". The article states that GM Boik14 was offered multiple first round picks for receiver Hakeem Nicks and declined the offer citing his love for Nicks' game. While Boik14 has been on a trading frenzy all off-season, the Post called him "incompetent" for declining such a deal when the team has excellent depth at the position and could easily slide free agent signing Randy Moss in to Nicks split end role. The Giants GM was unavailable for comment at this time. Speculation has it that while Boik14 likes Randy Moss he does not want to leave the team in a position where they are dependent on a player with such a volatile and unpredictable history. It has been speculated as well that Boik14 may reconsider the deal at draft time should a player of comparable skill be available at either the Giants pick or a pick of the team that made said offer. More details may emerge as the draft nears but in the opinion of this writer the Post is whack and should go blow a goat.
It's great knowing who that "other team" is... This is the second time in a few days where I have found myself knowing what is going on with certain trade negotiations using deductive reasoning. But I want it to be known that I will not divulge this info.... unless it makes the Patriots better in the process... ehem...
I would say the Giants GM is officially on crack-cocaine last time , I made an offer to him. But to each their own. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
I wouldn't have given up Nicks for the #1 overall pick let alone a "high first", but maybe that's just me.
Like I said, the first offer of two first wast bad, I just didn't want to deal him. People have been after him all GML season and I have maintained the same thing all along
