Here is where you can post your letters to the Miami Dolphins asking for the insanity to stop on this renovation project they have in mind for Sun Life(less) Stadium. Its old and needs to be replaced, not updated. See if our letters and campaign for a new Orange Bowl, with fan friendly stands that can make noise and more importantly make a difference to our players. Show them our support with our voices and be like Seattle - a true 12th man !
Damn strait Jake...I know Mike Dee came here to make a difference and give us a sense of spirit and culture, like he did when he was with the red sox...well, here is his shining moment to be a hero..
True sell outs...Buzz...reputation...connection to fanbase...re'establish culture and pride to a once proud, and loud fanbase...Raise the level of emotion of a football player...raise their performance level...Stop flat performances at home...Connect your players to their fans {which there is absoulute 0 of at this point in that stadium} sad sad sad....Marketing, an identity for a fanbase...more buzz...more people come...waiting lists... Keeping the enemyfans out of our freakin stadium...Merchandise sales...innovators...grounbreakers...energy source...free agency lure...more buzz...it becomes an entity all to itself....You would make more money off these variables then you possibly could imagine...just ask Phil Knight.. The OB2...''Let the revolution begin''
''No life stadium''...''corporate feel''...''Neutral site''... Just some quotes that I have heard describing our current place... Mike Dee..call Kurt herbstreit and ask him how he feels about our stadium... Anyone on this planet that thinks the seatlle fanbase's reputation is there because of their fans is completely dissillusional... Oregon Ducks brand, hottest in the country.....hmmmmm, I guess there is no stadium corelation there?....a money making machine.
but Des, Dee has put it out there that there is some thought going on about something new... If Ross could understand what a cash cow the OB2 would be on its own, he might be more inclined to invest more of his own money, and get other investers involved to fund privately..
If you wanna start a campaign... might help to supply the people with the contact information they are supposed to send these letters too...
Oregon's pizzazz has nothing to do with their stadium. They've been playing at Autzen Stadium for 40 years and sucked the vast majority of that time. What they did was get Phil Knight at a benefactor, spent crazy money on facilitites/perks for athletes, came out with crazy unfiorm combos and started winning. The stadium had absolutely nothing to do with it. Stadiums have absolutely nothing to do with winning and losing. Seattle may have a great loud stadium yet their team has still sucked the vast majority of time they've been there.
My letter would state Dear Mr. Ross From the letters you have received it must be obvious that the fans in S. Florida are not happy with Sun Life Stadium no matter what improvements are set forth. Thats why I am pleading you to move to Los Angeles. Great weather, lots of anxious fans, brand new state of the art stadium and guess what ? The Pacific has Dolphins too so you do not even have to change the team logo. Thank You Mr. Ross, you will not regret the move to the West Coast.
Lots of anxious fans ? You mean the ones that didn't go to Rams & Raiders games ? That's why those two teams left ?
Don't disagree but that's inevitable anyway. The league and players reps like to say the demands for millions upon millions of pay increases by players yearly and TV contract demands by owners don't fall down to the fans at the bottom line but that is complete horsecrap.
You mean the city that failed to support two franchises already? Yeah, the NFL wouldn't even allow the move IMO. Ridiculous..... and I mean absolutely ridiculous post.
This is the truth of the matter unfortunately. This only becomes more of an undeniable truth the more they continue to dump millions into "improvements". For the long run it would be smarter to tackle the issue now but is Ross really willing to shell out that type of money considering that getting public funds would be and should be a losing proposition? I don't see why he would be in this economic environment, I wouldn't.
Yep, that city and those fans and whatever new team comes out will be welcomed warmly. You speak of no fans coming. How many are going to the friggin Miami games now that they are in Miami ? Seems like S. Florida is exactly now the way you are explaing it was THEN two decades ago. Oh yea Mr. Ross, the Stadium is paid for by AEG . Oh thats right, you are already on their Board, excuse me, I forgot.
In al seriousness, I do not , in no fashion, how they intend to put those fabric over hangs on the stadium for shade and expect them to really hold up when its hurricane season. It looks pretty but I would have to imagine the wind would eventually rip them up. Crap, I was at the first pre season game this year and it wasn't even that bad but the wind was whipping pretty bad. No way those fancy things hold up for more then a season, maybe a season.
And then when I tried to call them regarding the failed email and wanting a correct one, I was given the run-around and eventually told that my request cannot be satisfied over the phone. What I need to do, according to the Dolphins FO is write a letter and mail it to them, snail mail.
I don't speak gibberish sorry. This post is nonsensical. LA lost 2 franchises already. Good track record? Miami has supported it's franchise just fine from the absolute beginning. Our attendance has been just fine. Not to mention Miami has been, and for good reason, the NFL's favorite Super Bowl destination. Nothing your ranting about has any semblance if intelligent thought behind it.
Well well well, I got a call back from a Kelly who is special asst to Mr. Michael Dee. She said a good email to send this to would be...... mceo@dolphins.com Try that one guys. Please don't let me be the only one that does this. DJ I expect to see your letter here very soon ! Don't disappoint me !
You can probably count in DJ to open up another 10 email addresses just to send a letter from what seems to be 10 different sources.
Then I expect to see 10 different letters here LOL He'd better not send the same letter from 10 different emails....that would not be smart.
I appreciate you trying Jake, its more than I can say for others who just dont get it.. How can we a petition or something...could a link that we all sign stating a few opinions be printed out, and mailed?
lol.. Reef, if I knew what to do, I would do it..Jake dont give up, find us another email...all we want to do is plant the seed..
I did find one : mceo@dolphins.com - now use it and write that letter. If not, I will be calling you the biggest phoney in the world. Be a man and do it.
WTH is your problem man..?..you have already stated you would want the same things that were stating here...why take this stance when there is a possibility of a new stadium...Mike dee.. one of our main Executives has stated such...hes also stated that he understands that our stadium was not built correctly for a football atmoshere, and that he wants to improve such atmoshere..The man has given us some signs that he wants something new...and this is all you got....that sucks man..
Ok..I will brother..give me a little time, ive written so much sh$# on this subject I dont know where to start.. could you post a link to this letter email Jake?.. maybe the mods could delete all the BS thats in this thread and just post the good stuff, we could show them a virtual petition...no?..or just write individual letters?
Just write your email. I doubt he reads that or even less our forum, so just write the letter and then copy it here on this thread like I did already. My patience is getting thin. You encouraged me to do this, and then won't play ball. I don't like that dude, not good thing to do to your fellow board member.
Nonsense ? Dude, LA is getting a team, its close to where I live, I would LOVE for the Dolphins to move there. I have lived in Jersey, Florida, AZ and SoCal, BY FAR Southern California blows most of the planet earth off the map. Yeah yeah, there is certainly bad areas, just like South Florida. Would save me tons of airfare each year to watch the Dolphins play.Like I said, someone is moving there and if you think Steven Ross has nothing to do with AEG, LOL, think again.
I replaced Ryan Mallett with my own name in the actual copy, of course I hope more join us. A journey of 1,000 miles begins with one footstep. GRASSROOTS, PEOPLE!
And please Dj, do not start off or say at any point in your email the the phrase "If you were smart" like you mentioned in another thread. That's insulting at best. lol
damn you jake, stop saying that crap..lol...Iam gonna write it tonite, I got meetings til 10, be home at 11, and I will start..
