I can concede Orlando but honestly Howard will likely be a Laker and as Sec has pointed out, Boston players are about finished so in a year or two it will be a 3 team race with NY, MIA, CHI....

NY has handled CHI this year so I don't know if its a matchup thing or what but that team isn't very scary imo.

If Chris Paul is "allowed" to go to the Knicks next year.....it will be quite interesting - especially with BOS soon to be break up/aging of its big 3.

Knicks supposedly in talks to get Jared Jefferies back (for height/defense) or Troy Murphy.

In non Knicks news, Rockets talking to Grizz about Thabeet and talking to Minnesota about Flynn.

Not so fast there Sect. Perk does not play at the end of the 4th quarter because of his LeBron like FT shooting in clutch situations. You may even see a super odd up there with Allen, Pierce, Green, Baby and KG. Delonte will fill in the back up PG for Rondo. I do concede the Cs lost some toughness, a lot of toughness actually.

Nice try buddy. Lebron James is shooting 91.5% this season from the line in the last 2 minutes of games. Wrong guy. The guy that sucks for us at the line is Wade.

and you go with a small lineup against the Heat it usually turns into a Miami Heat Clown show.

But hey...it must have been hard for Danny Ainge to resist Pat Riley's jedi mind tricks all year.

Chicago moving forward with Noah and Boozer back are much more formidable than Chicago with just Rose. So going forward I see Boston, Miami and Chicago with NY battling ATL. If I were a knick fan I'd be worried whether Melo or Amare are the types that make those around them better. Billups certainly is, but he's gone soon.

Wow, officials have been HORRIBLE in this final quarter. And I'm ready to concede Bosh is a tad better than Amare.

LOL Amar'e >>>> Bosh. Bosh is softer then charmin's softest 2 ply. Amar'e makes plays when it matters...thats what the real deal does!

Agreed, doesnt always have to be pretty though. Sometimes you got to win ugly in this league and thats what NYK did.

Thats what happens when we play defense. need to do more of it. D'antoni going to have to bring in a defensive coach to replace his brother because I still think Miami, Boston or Orlando would roast us in the playoffs because we arent a good defensive team but tonight the effort was there.

Definitely. Some of those new Knicks don’t really fit under Antoni. Personally, I think the only reason Chauncey Billups is a Knick is to make sure that Miami couldn’t trade for him.

The reason Billups is a Knicks three fold....
    1. Billups is better then Felton. Felton may be younger but Billups has the playoff experience and a reputation as a clutch player
    2. Billups may not be a fit for D'Antoni's offense but he can work the angles and D'Antoni has pretty much handed Billups the keys and said do what you want to do offensively at the pace you want to do it. Hes shown trust in Billups and with good reason.
    3. Billups is getting his option year picked up for 14M. That contract has a better chance to land a big star as an expiring. Its a lot of cap space someone can clear off if theyre looking to save money. Regardless of how restrictive the new CBA is for FA's this could help the Knicks land something in the trade route. Great move by Donnie though I HATED to see Gallinari go. 30 and 9 the other night :(

If soft means...good defender, and rebounder and big shot maker...then..yeah..he's soft.

Come on Boik. Don't be THAT GUY.

Because a couple of morons say he is soft...you gotta repeat it..after he keeps coming up big in "big" games?

    Bosh 20 and 12 with 3 stl, 1 blk vs. Amare 16 and 10 with 1 blk.

    YOU= "Bosh is soft".

    come...on.

Great game. Wade sucked. Knicks won. That was the story. But get out of here with this "Bosh is soft" BS.

He just keeps showing up in these "big" spots..minus his disaster vs. Chicago.

Except like Desides said, there is no D in D'Antoni. Bosh was being guarded by Turiaf, Shawne Willians, and Shelden Williams. He didnt have Amar'e guarding him as much and certainly didnt have the Knicks swarming to him every time he touched the ball. We both know Joel Anthony is a good defender so while he did the dirty work guarding Amar'e Bosh got to rest at the defensive end guarding guys like Turiaf and Shawne Willaims who is mostly just a 3 point shooter. Bosh IS soft. I am beyond thrilled New York didnt get him; I cant emphasize that enough. If that makes me "THAT GUY" so be it. I dont care.

I respect Wade (even like him), I think Lebron is great...but Bosh...eh.

But you have NO evidence WHATSOEVER to support you assertion. NONE.

Soft...is getting punked 4 games by a defensive specialist known for doing ONE thing and gaining a nickname because of it. "THE WARDEN".

NOT soft is playing your best games vs, the best competition. Which Bosh does as a habit. (Except for his Bulls folly)

In fact..it is rather obvious to anybody that the argument you are using is ***-backwards and falls on Amare.

You are glad you didn't sign Bosh? IDK why. Bosh would have Amare's same numbers, while being a better defender, and being younger.

Amare is more dynamic / prolific. But Bosh is a mirror image of Kevin Garnett. You decide who's career you want.

BTW, if Amare was not guarding Bosh...he could only be guarding the worst offensive player in the NBA...The Warden. No way around that fact.

So what does that say of Amare and your argument? Maybe Bosh goes for 30 and the Heat win comfortably if Amare guards him. So your argument has holes in it Boik. Big ones.

Kevin Garnett?... The same Garnett who on shot knees is still a better defender than Bosh at his best? I hate Garnett but Bosh is no young K.G.

To be entirely honest I think the Bulls are going to end up with the 2nd seed and take the Heat out, while Orlando takes out Boston. The Knicks will be irrelevant and Chicago will come out of the East where the Lakers (if they make it) will trounce them.

and of course...you would bet on that? (I hope)

The same Chicago that can;t win on the road is going to take the 2nd seed from the Heat? and to top it off, Orlando, who is falling apart is going to take out Boston?

and yes. Chris Bosh's game could not be more similar to Kevin Garnett's.

Miami has some issues as they can't seem to win a "big" game. Not sure if it will be fixed before the playoffs.

As a Heat fan, I'm concerned that the whole team disappears too often on both offense and defense. Maybe its a focus thing that will be solved once the playoffs start or maybe its a symptom of something else.

I just think they are young and think they can blow out anybody anytime if they want too...which isnt a shock that young players think this way...I would expect all of it to go away come playoff time, when the cupcake games cease, and the real ones start....

    till they do. of course.

Lakers, OKC, ORL, NYK and Utah on the road (when Utah was the hottest team in the NBA) weren't "big games"? all of those wins on the road BTW.

point is...you don;t have the second best road record, and 43 wins at this point without winning "big" games.

further point....there are no "big" games in the regular season.

I'm an Orlando Magic fan, and think they are falling apart fast. Agent 0 plays like he has nothing left and the 5'2" Nelson will not lead them anywhere. Having said that, let me say this about the last few topics. I think NY could be dangerous in the playoffs. Remember teams are cutting payroll players who can sign anywhere now. If they sign one more good guy, they will be a force. And I will have to say after watching Bosch for a few years now is that he is soft. Just my opinion.

and NEVER won a road playoff game. Also played against aging (done) Piston team for EC title and injured Lakers team for the WC.

We just have a knack for having Dwyane Wade be terrible in some of these games and in one particular game..Chris Bosh vs. Chicago.

Once Dwyane Wade doesn't suck anymore..we are cool. I have faith in #3. So you can understand my confidence. I would be concerned if it was Bosh that sucked in these games..but it has been the opposite except for that one game. It's as if I KNOW that Chris Bosh will play well in these games.
