They are trolling heat sites, and in a full blown twittergasm right now. On realgm...forget it. They don,t count. That site just has the worst fans of each team. Heat fans included.

Btw, I keep a running tally of the times I have been furious with one of the big three...

    The count this year:

    Wade....7
    LBJ.......6
    Bosh......3

Lbj's game tonight was the worst he has played this year.

I say it alot, whoever craps on Bosh, just doesn't know. He Is the guy that is always there. Like wallpaper.

The Warden does it again. It is time he gets the deserved credit:

Vs. everybody else not named The Warden: 5 minutes, 9 points on 4-5 shooting, 4 rebounds.

Vs. THE WARDEN: 33 minutes, 15 points on 6-12 shooting, 4 rebounds.

The more I look at it....that is a one helluva win for the Knicks. The Heat defense was pretty damn good, The Heat outrebounded the Knicks, and led at the half and at the end of 3. The Knicks managed to buck all of the trends that usually lead to comfortable heat wins.

and yes...if Blake Griffin was not eligible, Fields would be a lock for ROY.

I was away in the middle of the atlantic ocean so i didnt see this game but its nice you compliment the Knicks. I trust your assessment on most things.

My only dispute would be John Wall over Field for ROY. Wall has been hurt but lately hes been healthy and man his assists totals are insane for a rookie. Before I left on vacation I saw a stat that through I think it was the first 40 games Wall had the 5th most assists ever. The other guys on the list were Magic and other HOFERS. Hes averaging 15PPG/9APG/4RPG/2SPG on 40% FG and 4 TO per but over his last 10 that is 11 APG and 6 RPG with similar PPG, FG, and SPG. Fields is more efficient but Wall is a much better player and he is asked to do a lot more. Fields is an ideal role player but Wall is a player you can really build around.

Wall is a baby and is already sitting games for too many reasons.

I have a simple rule...if you are young.......you play with minor injuries. He takes too many days off.

The Knicks have reached an agreement to hire former Nuggets GM Mark Warkentien as a high-level consultant, a move seemingly designed to help land Carmelo Anthony. Not only does Warkentien have a solid relationship with Melo, he was the Executive of the Year in 2009, before being shouldered out of Denver. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-knickswarkentien013011

Nice news though the end of the article is disturbing. Hopefully Melo waits it out til the end of the year to rejoin Warkentian and team up with amar'e.

New York misses out on LeBron*, Cliff Lee, and Carmelo. *Was never coming

Nets and Nuggets agree on trade terms that would send Carmelo Anthony to New Jersey pending his signing a contract extension.

I was never high on trading for Carmelo if it hand ANYTHING to do with losing Gallineri or Fields...

Nothing is concrete on him going to NJ, but if he does this Knicks fan won't bat an eye.

Carmelo has already said no to NJ. That report has been true for months. Melo aint going to NJ. There is no meeting with Prohkorov or with James Dolan....thats denver fabricating crap just like they did a week ago with the bynum deal that was discussed last summer that the lakers declined then.

Why would Melo go to NJN where he would miss the playoffs this year instead of playing out the year in denver instead where he can make the playoffs. If he still wants NJ (which he doesnt) he can sign with them in the offseason and they can keep their assets. Otherwise he may as well stay in Denver because NJ pretty much stinks (literally and figuratively). Whoever writes this crap is just lookin for headlines.

Its melo this offseason and paul in 2012. Thanks.

He said no before. This is a renegotiated deal, presumably to bring much of Carmelo’s supporting cast with him and thus make it more palatable for him to say yes.

I talked a lil with Desides on this topic and I stand firm that the Knicks resurgance will be more about Chris Paul than Carmelo. What I mean is I would rather have this Amare, Fields, Gallinari, Paul than Amare, Melo, and Paul.

Reasoning is this team already can score points and imo only has one player who can do the dirty work AND get you some baskets and thats Landry Fields. Gallinari also has a bright future so to me I in no way shape or form would want to give up BOTH for basically another scorer albeit a great scorer.

The good thing about the Heat is their "big 3" can also play great defense, if not that team would be trounced within 2 rounds in the playoffs. I come from the days of Charles Oakley, and Anthony Mason two guys who liked to come in and do the dirty work....if you dump Landry Fields its a mistake.

PS. Can we start the Blake Griffin to NY hype early please??

Deron Williams wants to go to NYC.

    THAT is serious bidness.

REMEMBER that at least 75% of Boston's roster will die of natural causes soon...and the #2 spot to challenge Miami every year in the ECF is OPEN.

Knicks get Melo...then sign Deron in 2012...we have a rivalry ladies and gentleman.

It's all over twitter that DW told "associates" that NY is his first choice in 2012.

Anyway..my reporting has been pretty solid on this, and David Aldridge backed me up. If the Knicks part with Landry Fields, Melo is theirs.

I say...do it. This CBA problem could force Melo into a extension with the Nuggets.

    Just go get him.

WTF, were not trading Landry Fields. Thats just all their is to it.

You know who is behind this? Isiah he's a moron who is trying to get his job back because he is friends with the owner. This team has 2 very good YOUNG peices to the puzzle be patient if he's there in the summer now look at what you have, if not its fine......get Williams or Paul and that lineup is STILL beasty.

If Landry Fields is what keeps you from adding Carmelo Anthony..then that is just stupid.

Landry Field's ceiling is Caron Butler. Caron Butler is gonna keep you from adding Melo? really?

Id hate to part with Fields but I can live with letting him and Chandler go...Gallinari is staying. Thats Walsh's first pick, he likes the kid a ton and he can be used as an asset in another deal. No bleepin way I give up Gallo. Chandler is a RFA, we'd have to renounce his rights just to sign Melo as a free agent so he is gone one way or another unless he wants to come back for the MLE once Melo is signed sealed and delivered.

As for the CBA, the NBAPA will never agree to a franchise tag so Im not worried about that. If there is a hard cap everyones salaried will receive a roll back whether its signed this offseason, last offseason or prior. Stern had mentioned a 40% rollback on salaries at one point. Even if Melo receives his contract now, he'd actually only get 39M over those 3 years as opposed to the 65M. Doesnt matter either way.

It matters in that the language of the contract will not allow for renegotiation after it is signed BEFORE a new CBA. he gets his 65 mil no matter what. If he waits till the summer...he could take a serious hit.

The latest offer that was rejected by Denver was:

    Melo, Billups

    for

Gallo, Chandler, Felton, 1st round pick.

His 65M would become 39M either way though if Stern gets his way. He would take a serious hit either way if Stern gets his way.

I wouldnt move Fields OR Gallo in this deal. Id tell Denver to suck it and wait til the offseason and then they get nothing. At that point Curry expires for 11.3M, you can renounce the right to Turiaf and Azubuike whose contracts are non guaranteed for 4M + (Turiaf) and 3M + (Buike) and renounce the rights to Chandler as a RFA clearing enough room to sign Melo outright. Then you can sign Chandler back for the MLE if he wants to be here. Thats why the first offer Walsh made is the highest the Knicks should go. Curry, Chandler and Randolph for Melo.

Good, Denver continues to overplay their hand

Stern will not get his 40% rollback Boik. It just won't happen.

Melo HAS TO sign a contract BEFORE the CBA is up. period. If he likes money of course.

IMO its obvious that Melo wants NY, but I don't think he wants NY enough to forego signing the extension. In the end, NY will give up both Gallo and Fields or they will not get Mello. With Billups replacing Fields, the trade is really Gallo and a 1st for Mello. That's a steal. It would be a good deal even if NY had to throw more in.
