Theres alot of talent left. My hope is some team had a hard on for Conner and gives us a couple picks. I also hope the JT debacle ends and he's shipped out for a 3,4,6. Then armed in day two with multiple picks I'd like to see some of these guys called by Miami. John Greco,Pat Sims,Kev Smith,Early Doucet, Anthony Collins,
I think it's safe to say teams aren't scared to trade around this draft and we will have our choice of offers for the pict today and trade it for more picks. We're going in with 6 picks today and I would not be suprised to see us end up with 7 or 8. Shaping up to be an excellent draft for a rebuilding team!!
I remember someone saying that this pick is one of the most coveted in the draft. I wonder what type of offers we will be fielding for it.
The point of the draft isn't to stockpile low-round draft picks, it's to stockpile high-talent players. We should TAKE the high talent players instead of trading them away. I know it would be a change from our previous drafts, but that's a GOOD thing...
Tell that to teams like NE. They always hit for quality players later in the middle of the draft and it has built up their roster. We now finally have intelligent people making our personnel decisions and I feel they can do the same for us with more picks to help us grow. JMO
Very true, but Parcells is a draft nut and works it very well. Who knows, if we're in love with someone, we'll take them. If not, we drop back and get multiple picks. They dont have to be late picks. A few teams have 3 third rounders, we could get 2 3rds for ours and that would definately be hard to pass on. The good news is we've only got to wait 30 more minuets and we can all quit trying to predict the future. Whatever is done, I feel confident in this Front Office's vision and direction.
I like the trade. Trading back two spots for an extra pick? Good deal, esp if on their board they have three guys graded out equally. One will be available.
And if I was the GM, we would've. Unfortunately (or not-so unfortunately) we have Parcells and Ireland running the draft.
