That's actually what I like about it. What other game is going to put multiple variations of cars in a game? I love scouring the used lot to find the special skyline or RX-7 that'll give me a slight edge. Takes me back to HS.

Also on the damage..i was on my phone before and didn't want to type this all out.

I get that damage should be at all times for simulation affect, but I think this game is striving how to TEACH a lot of people to drive that don't really know how to. Many people like myself included don't have access to these cars, so it's smart to give us breaking assist, traction control, limited damage, etc. in the beginning, becuase as I can attest to in the past I get REALLY tired of racing games where I'm highly outclassed from the get-go. It would get crazy discouraging to play this game if I was spinning out and costing myself 40k in damage every race. I get the frustration from people, but for the average game who doesn't have access to these machines it's a big help to lower them in slowly.

Same gripe I have with flight sims. I'd LOVE to play a good WW2 dogfight game...actually picked IL2 up on steam during their sales. The unfortunate part is...I don't know how to fly a mother ****ing plane. Meaning I spent the first 10 minutes looking through the help menu to figure out how to start my engine to take off :) Then I went to the tutorial which was an incredibly slow paced video that didn't allow any interaction, and thus didn't help me much (had to take bloody notes). I can fly now, but I still don't know about picking angles, climbing, diving, etc. A game that eased me into these things ala GT would really help the case I think.

But to each his own. I like the insane amount of cars, and the slow introduction to driving. But I get how that could be frustrating to others.

That I understand, but if they're gunna do that then how about a bypass to let seasoned video game racers skip the learning curve? :wink2:

Absolutely agree with this. I wonder if you can do that via the arcade mode?

Okay bro even you have to laugh at this one. How's this for realism?

I just beat a field of pure race cars - HANDILY - in a five lap race at Laguna Seca driving a souped up '62 Buick Special.
