Thought you guys might be interested. Now back to the drawling board. Report: Jim Harbaugh 'not sold' on Dolphins According to the San Jose Mercury News' Tim Kawakami, Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh "isn't sold" on the situation in Miami with the Dolphins. "Money talks, but Harbaugh's looking for reasons to look elsewhere," says Kawakami. It looks like Harbaugh is slipping away from Dolphins owner Stephen Ross. NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora suggests Harbaugh's decision could still come down to Standford and the 49ers, allowing him to stay in the Bay Area. Per LaCanfora, Stanford's offer was actually higher the Niners with bonuses included. At this point, the Dolphins, 49ers, Broncos, and Standford remain in the hunt. And the circus atmosphere continues. If he really wanted the job he`d jump at the offer. I`m getting closer and closer to the **** him status.
I posted this earlier on another thread and it seems one plane has left the West Coast en route to Miami. Who knows?
How can he accept the offer if Sparano is still our HC and we haven't followed the rooney rule? **** Ross not Harbaugh. Atleast not until he officially rejects our offer.
I honestly don't blame him for dragging this out to get paid more. Majority if not all of us would be doing the same in his place. Plus, this is karma for leaving Sparano in limbo. All this speculation is fun to hear people's comment on the radio in Niner country. They went from "**** Harbaugh that greedy SoB" to having hope now.
I totally agree with this. I had a bad feeling about this from the beginning and the more it drags on the more I feel we`re in for a negative surprise. ( anyone know where I can get another F5 key.? Mine wore out)
This is about as bad as the Miami Hurricanes/Jon Gruden situation which flooded Twitter with conflicting reports from different "sources" left, right, front, and back. I think it's our best bet to take everything with a grain of salt from here on out until there is an official announcement.
I'm so sick of this "It's pretty much a done deal" oh wait, it's not bull****. Not blaming anyone here, just the media. I'm fed up. I might just have to ignore the intrawebs tomorrow and see what happened on Friday. Yeah, like that will happen.
1) They interview Hue Jackson while on the West Coast. Rooney Rule. Check. 2) Sparano packs his bags and boxes. Coach fired. Check. 3) One plane leaves San Jose to LA presumably to negotiate contract with David Dunn (agent). Contract signed. Check 4) Same plane that arrives in LA leaves for Miami and is scheduled to land at 1:23am EST. The crew with the new coach has landed? 5) Second plane is left in San Jose for the Wife and kids. Pleasantries. 6) M1NDCRlME states that (sorry bold will not shut off) Miami press has been told to be available tomorrow morning for an important announcement...? Interesting, lets cross our fingers and get our rabbits' foots
well Harbaugh cant be sold on Miami if Miami doesnt have a job to offer. And, the dolphins cant offer any job until the fire tony and satisfy the rooney rule. So it can all be a smoke screen or not.
In the end, who the heck knows, but I would call this Ross' business. I would want to keep this quiet if I am actually negotiating a contract and the papers satisfying the Rooney Rule have not been officially authorized yet no (since it was after 5pm)? Remember, a Dolphins official denied reports about us and Harbaugh earlier in the week only for everyone to find out two private planes left NY en route to Cali.
Then what the hell is Ross doing??? If he really wanted a new coach he would have fired Sparano immediately. This is getting nuts.
Harbaugh could be playing coy until they officially fire Sparano to save face. This could also be a huge reach. I'm not sure I care anymore...
Now theres a rumor saying Harbaugh wont be signed until tomorrow to satisfy the rooney rule since the offices were closed when they interviewed Jackson I think. I'm done.
And I heard from another forum that that stop in Bob Hope Airport was to interview Hue Jackson. Burbank, CA is 16mins from LA and its reportedly where Hue Jackson resides. Technical difficulties: Just put Burbank, CA to Los Angeles, CA into the directions tabs. Someone also mentioned on another forum that there is a hotel right near the Bob Hope Airport and corporate/private aircraft usually do not fly out of Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, CA
According to who??? Oh that's right the "San Jose mercury News" The same San Jose mercury news that wants Harbaugh to sign with the niners.
Now that's funny... when I click on the link it ways Hue Jackson lives near Columbus, OH. I think the link is a bit messed up. Edit: That'll teach me to read the whole thread... frags already corrected himself.
