I have been waiting for tomorrow ever since the season ended. I am really looking forward to what our new front office will do in regards to pulling of deals and whom we will select.

I also want to thank the Moderators on here that have put up and additional chat site for us to discuss the draft as it is happening and what they have done to make this an awesome and FUN site.

I think we will will pull of a trade for JT as we all should know that Bill Parcells as a Coach was ALWAYS the most active working the phones on draft day.

So kids.. lets get some sleep early, have dreams of superbowl highlights dancing in our heads and thoughts of many Pro Bowls forthcoming.

Because early in the morning we will start with Bloody Marys followed by Beer, beer, beer, Scotch, snacks, and Chanpange when Bill and Jeff make the rest of the NFL start to Cringe!

    Amen brother!!! :ffic:

sure hope its a good one tomorrow!!! Im not waiting for tomorrow for the beers though, gotta give the liver a nice little warmup this evening.

Cant wait to see what we do tomorrow though. Im pretty sure were going to pull off a JT trade this evening or tomorrow sometime. Getting an extra late first rounder, or an extra 2nd rounder would be huge, and the only way to keep me happy if we take a QB in R2

i am going to definitly run a disk cleanup and a defrag on this bad boy for tomorrow, this is the most excited i have been for a draft in a while mostly due to the fact the phins drafting has been horrible

this time the phins have a front office that knows what they are doing

Im pretty sure it gets done for a 2nd and a 4th. Possibly a 5th instead of a 4th if we get really desperate for that extra 2nd

someone will bite and right now the cats out of the bag so it is out there in the open and i think jason would like to go to a contender anyway but if doesnt happen keeping jason taylor isnt the worst thing in the world he can help mentor some of the younger guys

I wonder if we have a trade in place for JT.

rumour has it that JAX could be where JT ends up for a 2nd and a 4th... its a decent possibility anyways. I think it was said earlier in a Club Level thread that an espn report on tv mentioned a rumor of JT to Jacksonville, before tomorrow for a 2nd and probably a 4th

of course its rumor/speculation, so take it for what its worth

I'd think we would, JT did have 12 sacks for a 1-15 team last season, any GM would realize that if he was on a winner, he could do the same or better as he was uninjured.

This may sound "off centre" but I would not mind foregoing a #2 this year for a #1 next year, I think long term it makes more sense.

I agree. I wouldn't mind getting a top pick next year but what is the likely hood of us getting that?

Well, NFL Draft math is a funny thing a #2 this year is worth a #1 next year, so if Jax or Sd or whomever is willing to give up a #2 this year, we can forego that for a #1 next year.

Ooo. I would be willing to do that. Who knows what can happen to that team that gets JT. They could even miss the playoffs and get ridiculous injuries which makes them have a terrible season.

Or they could lift the Lombardi Trophy with JT playing a huge part in that happening.

That is the risk, 12 hours until ESPN Draft coverage starts tomorrow...:hi5:

Pace yourself, we already drafted Big Jake, the first round lasts 10 minutes a pick, there are 31 picks until we draft again...

5 hours...until #32 comes up maybe more, each trade gives the team..ten more minutes to choose...

We may not draft again until 8:00 pm...

This is a marathon, not a sprint, with some luck by 5 or 6 or so we take #32, then 25 picks until our next one, there is less trading in the second round, so by 8:00 pm or so...

If you want something to pass the time, find the New Era scouting .PDF of the top 250 players print it out and cross guys off the list as they are drafted, it will give you a really good idea of who is left to draft...

Sunday the Darft is reduced to 7 minutes, we have 1 3rd round choice then we go to the 6th round, and it moves much much faster...
