Agree. Berlin was much more interesting when East and West Germany were still seperate countries and Berlin was a divided city...
I haven't been to Bulgaria, but I was thinking about it when I planned my vacation two years ago. Who's that travel guy Rick something or another, he had a special once from Sofia and it looked really nice. Varna is also nice and there's a pretty castle somewhere up in the mountains that's worth seeing. One of my ex-colleagues in Miami is from Bulgaria, I'll try and get in touch with her and see if she can recommend anything. Apart from that, I really vehemently disagree with the post that Paris is overrated. I'm a city planner and Paris is as close to perfection as you can get. No city in the world locates monuments better. I hate Rome. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. If I can avoid it I never want to go there again for as long as I live. I don't hate Amsterdam, but I don't particularly like it either. It's disorienting and pot smoke, which makes me nauseous, fills bars everywhere. I almost got into two fights while I was there. An alternative is Belgium. Brussels is nice, not as grand as Paris but still beautiful. My favorite place between Holland and Belgium was Ghent, beautiful city. I haven't seen Prague, but I want to very much. Another of my ex-colleagues raved about it. Of all the places I've visited, I absolutely love Brazil. The girls aren't as pretty as I had hoped but the people are great, possibly the friendliest, most outgoing people on earth. And man, they have partying down to a science. Actually, you'll be a lot closer to Israel than you will to Paris and there's a lot to see here. You should also check out Thorn Tree's forum on Bulgaria. http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/forum.jspa?forumID=15&keywordid=111
Another possibility if Bulgaria isn't to your liking another place that's close by and which I lot of people talk highly about is Dubrovnik in Croatia. If you happen to go to Italy, my favorite place among those that I've seen is Siena, very pretty city.
Obviously I prefer Italy. The women are gorgeous in most of Europe. The only thing is Europe unfortunately is becoming pretty racist in a lot of places so be careful
Thanks everyone for all the info. I dunno what I'm gonna do.. This is gonna be crazy. I still have a lot of time to think it through.
Yeah, he's not bright pink, 55+ years old, and 40 lbs overweight. That's the Canadians I run into down here in FL.

This just in from CNN; Upon hearing the news that the Mor is invading Europe, France has surrendered...
If I had to pick I'd say Greece hands down...between those two... You dont want any part right now of Istanbul bro...I'm sure they have good security over there but Turkey is close enough to Iraq to warrant a no go for American's IMHO...
