1-15 was a done deal early on. This season was like having your *** tickled with a feather (up until last week). By year 3 you would expect the team would progress. Please spare me the injuries plagued the team argument. We thought that they said our OC was seasoned but we realized they meant senile. J-Lo was going to pose in Playboy if we made the playoffs. Okay I made that up. There is just as much uncertainty at the FO & coaching staff as there was that year. Whatever Ross is going to do just make a decision immediately. The QB situation is no more settled now than then. I don't expect another Marino but I do expect NFL caliber. The waste of talent on this team is only rivaled by the Hindenburg disaster. For you whipper snappers Google it. "Oh the humanity!".
I'd take a 7-9 or 8-8 season over 1-15 any day of the week. Only thing that might make this worse is I feel Luck is a can't miss QB prospect (I felt the same about Bradford).
But only 1-15 gets you Luck this year. We are stuck in mediocrity hell, the same place that Arizona was for around 3 decades.
It's a little better than 1-15 but irrelevance is irrelevance. Being the butt of jokes sucks but being a complete nonfactor in the NFL also sucks pretty hard.
It would be shocking if he didn't. What does he have to gain by staying ? His team won't be as good next year, and its likely his head coach will be gone.
Well now it's not worse than that. We have at least something now, with a Top 5 young defense and players who can actually catch the ball on offense. We just need someone to THROW it to them, but we've been looking for that for 11 seasons. So we need a new QB, a new OC, and the middle of the O-Line needs to be fixed. Frustrating and disappointing, but better then needing an entirely new team like we did in 2007[except for the RBs].
