Pennington, marshall, long, brown,Bess,Camarillo(oh wait), scratch him, Hartline, Fasano, Carpenter, polite D ...Dansby, Smith, Wake, Misi, and Davis the rest are average at best
Marshall, Long, Davis, Bess, Dansby, Carroll, Jones, Langford, Soliai, Starks, Wake, Misi, McDaniel, Carpenter, Fields, Smith. I dare someone to give me a good enough reason not to keep one of these players.
here is my list... QB- RB-Hillard WR-Marshall, Bess TE-Fasano OL-Long, Carey DL-Odrick, Langford, Mcdaniel, Solai, LB-Wake, Chrowder, Dansby, Misi, Edds DB-Davis, Smith, Clemons K-Carpenter P-Fields
forgive me for answering backwards... we need: a pro-bowl quality center & pulling guard a franchise-quality qb & a young RB with speed
If the others on the list and not on my list had half the heart and intelligence Pennington has we would be in the superbowl Pennington gets the nod by default
Mike Nolan Karlos Dansby Koa Misi Odrick Edds Langford Soliai Tony "The Predator" McDaniel Cam Wake Nolan Carroll Chris Clemons John Denney Brandon Marshall Brian Hartline Davone Bess Jake Long John Jerry Roberto Wallace Marlon Moore Ricky Williams Dan Carpenter Brandon Fields
assuming we could fill all the holes with an upgrade but I would keep..... Nolan odrick soliai wake dansby davis smith carroll clemons long carey [st a pay cut] jerry marshall bess fasano maybe, pretty much every one else has become expendable, IMO.
Marshall, long, brown, bess, and polite for offense. Wake, Dansby, Davis, smith, starks, and most important for our defense mike Nolan.
That's because it is intangible. Heart or dedication as others would call it is there. A player either has got it or he doesn't. 4 shoulder surgeries and countless rehab hours behind the scenes speaks for itself. Other such players who have/had it: Dan Marino Jerry Rice Zack Thomas Jim Kelley Warren Moon Wes Welker Davon Bess Michael Vick
I would keep everyone on the Defense because the offense needs upgrades so bad the defense can wait a year. Maybe another LB but thats it with Crowder being the guy I'd let go. Offense Ronnie and Henne need to go As well as two or three of the lineman. AND DAN HENNING.
Holy ****, I had Misi and then somehow erased him! Good catch. But no, if I were starting from scratch I would want better, more consistent Corners than Vontae and Smith. What has Vontae been besides inconsistent? Spectacularly good one game, conspicuously absent the next. And Smith is neither the hitting machine you would expect from a guy his size, nor consistently good in coverage. Truly GOOD Corners are two things: consistently good in coverage, and able to create turnovers. These guys are neither. You could argue that they will develop, but I don't see it there.
Long Marshall Bess Polite R.Williams Chad Pennington (hes a coach, but give him the 3rd QB role) Wake Davis Smith Bell Dansby Misi Langford Crowder (you need a mouth sometimes) Carpenter (top 5 K IMO) Fields (top 5 punter and hopefully special teams player of the week after his Jets performance) Mike Nolan Owner: Ross
Can you fix your Signature and Photo please. I'm actually quite tired of seeing the wrong jersey number and photoshop job on a guy who has been with this team 14 games into the season. Besides, 15 isn't even Marshall. I'm sure theres a wire photo somewhere you can use, and a mugshot on Dolphins.com.
Davis, Smith, Long, Henne, Pennington, Igognito, Carey, Marshall, Hartline, Carroll, Starks, Moses, Odrick, Langford, Bell, Henne.........Just to start. ETA; Wake
Absolute Keepers (not necessarily all sure starters, might want to upgrade, but only players I can definitively say I want on the team next year, no matter what): ST's: Fields & Carpenter & Denney. D: Cam Wake; Davis; Dansby; Soliai; Odrick; Misi; McDaniel; Langford; Carroll; Edds; (Can't say "absolutely" on Smith - he's inconsistent at times; I don't think he has the dedication and serious maturity that Vontae does; and he can't catch; just sayin' not "absolute"). O: Jake Long; Jerry; Marshall; Bess; Wallace. Coaches: Mike Nolan; Darren Rizzi; Bill Sheridan. Above all, with respect to keepers: the entire offensive staff must be gone - plus, gut the entire offensive office, replace the drywall ... everything; burn their furniture, carpeting, everything goes to the fire.
I would keep everyone and then upgrade the positions that make sense through the draft and free agency.
I like this list with the addition of Smith and Jones. Both have come a long way since training camp.
