One thing to also take into consideration is that teams have a lot of tap on Chad Henne. Hopefully Chad will continue to improve.

    Not true....

Let's ride with your idea. To which someone who has been paying attention would respond:

"It's third and long. Everyone knows a pass is coming. What's wrong with a run and taking the points?"

To which someone WILL adamantly defense the Henne interception:

"Everyone knew the pass was coming. Why make the kid bail us out of EVERYTHING with no help?"

    To which I would respond:

"Oh really? You saw zone coverage? Or was that team playing man coverage on every other such down and distance?"

About as many times as Tyler Thigpen starts.

Very few (if any) have defended Henning this year including me. This dude is the leader of an offense that has not scored points. I don't care the circumstance, he does not deserve a job. That does not make the accusations that fly around here any more relevant.

Zod, spouter of the mouth, what I feel about Henning has ZERO to do with Henne. I've said it to you before, now get it through your stubborn head----- I don't like Henning bc I DONT LIKE HENNING.... much like MANY MEMBERS DONT LIKE HENNING regardless of how they fell about Henne. They guy has been fired more time than an extinguisher in a meth lab. His offensive strategy is counterproductive for a young, inexperienced team to execute. He's yet to change the playbook to fit Henne's needs..... and he has a 20 year track record of being UNDER-PRODUCTIVE while averaging less than 20 pts a season for the last 20 years. He's a dinosaur who's time has passed him by..... and he runs an offense that show poor execution as a whole, plays in a 20 yard box at a time, has trouble picking up chunk yardage, and is out-coached more he does the out-coaching. That's not even mentioning the actual calls themselves.

Only you would twist anyone arguments to fit your needs despite what people say their intentions are. It's like no one can speak what they feel around here b/c you come along and tell everyone what the person was "really meaning to say".

Wrong, there are plenty of people who don't agree with my ideas whom a have a great deal of respect for. AP and I disagree on issues and I respect the heck out of him......... b/c UNLIKE YOU, he doesn't look for every opportunity to stomp on someone and try to make himself appear superior. He also doesn't speak down to everyone in every single post as if he's "The Ruler of the Universe".

I know I'm a schmuck sometimes...... but you use your posts as a means to belittle people CONSTANTLY. Words like "respect" & "tact" flew out the window when your head became too inflated to allow room for them.

Good defense. Still doesn't mean anything but good defense.

You should look up the word meaning, you may learn some English.

See, I can be a jerk too.

I am enjoying everyone's baseless accusations with insults. It is rare when I read someone actually say something with actual back up. Going by what people like you said, Miami runs a base offense that doesn't have any pre-snap reads, so if they call a passing play that is stopped by a cover 2 they just stick with it.

That in the entire history of the Henning ran offenses, all the defense has to do is run a cover 2 and it is stopped. There is no defense. It is his kryptonite.

    Back in Miami
Still in the face of all the clear evidence we get this much of a debate where people want to argue Henning has absolutely nothing to do with the complete failure of our offense this year. Mind boggling to me but carry on.

Actually, if you had been paying attention many of those situations resulted in zero points.

Play action when the defense knows to ignore the fake just makes things more difficult for the offense, thus making an interception more likely. That's why its a garbage call.

The end around relied on the defense collapsing inside on the middle fake. But we hadn't been running much so the CBs were staying outside and not collapsing. To call an end around with no set up was a garbage call.

IMO that game plan was not the worst of the bunch. It was just a Thursday game where singular attention was paid.

He doesn't deserve a job b/c of too many garbage calls and he does have his core of defenders who claim he doesn't do that.

    Yes, male crotch hugger.......

Stubborn? STUBBORN? You just went through a thread of 100 posts (25 of which were yours) where (to a man) EVERYONE disagreed with you about Chad Henne's interceptions. Yet you persisted in 1/4 of the posts to ardently support your boy by saying the interceptions were not his fault. Stubborn? Are you and Slow Motion related? Every behavior that you accuse me of is here on clear display FROM YOU.

...........and by the way. I don't think I asked you about your opinion of Henning. Could you show me where you pulled that question out of your ***? I asked you to cite the garbage calls. You give me this:

Gobligook.... Do YOU even know what you just said?

eeer......uhhhhhhh.... I did not know "cite the garbage calls" was a trick question. Excuse me for the twisting.

    Huh?

You sir have an inferiority complex. It's not belittlement to state facts. And while what I do may seem a little odd to you, I find the practice you participate to be repulsive. YOU chase ghosts.

You could learn a thing or two from that press conference. Because in all of your defense of Henne's jock strap, you race to statistics. YOU even went so far as to QUOTE yourself in this thread as it was evidenced that nobody else cared. You want to discuss ego? You freaking quoted YOURSELF........AFTER NOBODY RESPONDED!!!!!

I've got a pretty good idea of what you find repulsive that I do. I take a quote like this:

.........and I ask the question, "What are they doing out there? Playing dominoes?"

Is this statement for real? Do you think this should just languish out there as having merit? Is this football? You Toddphins, have the floor. You tell us when and where an end around should be called. Is that in your statistics? Can you find that scrolling through fantasy football stats? But you allow this crap the float. Yet, you look at me and think I'm arrogant for pointing to it and saying "You are wrong." You will let this crap float but you will argue a statistic til the cows come home....... Go figure.

What's worse? A punt or an interception?

Do you realize that you just criticized the man for running on third and long and then criticized the man for calling play action (because they no to ignore the fake) on third and long? Do you see the irony in that statement?

I'm going to allow Toddphins to respond to this one as he thinks that I do not play nice.

It's the game that YOU mentioned. Now you don't want to talk about it?

Ah, the jab. Okay. Here is where I take issue with that. I look at the final product - points. It's all the other banter from "the playcallers" around here that I take issue. Allow me the indulgence of this analogy. You should get the point.

I was walking into a convenience store and I noticed a woman in her car just turning the key over. She must have turned that key over 20 times while I fueled and walked toward the storefront. I'm thinking "She's going to kill the battery if she's lucky. If the battery doesn't go first, the starter will." So I go into the store, buy my stuff and I'm walking out. I'm in no particular hurry so I stop to help the lady. She is a nervous old coot with ashes all over the seat and about 100 cigarettes in the overflowing ashtray. I asked, "Do you have fuel in the car?" She says "yes". Then I told her that she couldn't keep turning the car over like that because she will kill the starter. So this car was an OldsmoBuick. Having owned over 20 GM products in my life, I know that the fuel pumps are the worst fuel pumps ever put on wheels. So I open the gas lid and listen. I know that the fuel pump is in the tank. I know that when she turns the key (without turning it over) I should be able to hear the fuel pump prime. NO PRIME. So I tell the lady that the fuel pump is not priming. She disregards me and says that it did the same thing a couple of days ago. To which I thought, "yeah, that was your warning." So I crawl under the car, tell her to turn it over as I bang on the bottom of the tank attempting to jolt this thing into action. It's a trick taught to me by a mechanic. The mechanic says, "It may work once." It did not work this time. So I get up off my *** and i tell her, "ma'am, I think you need a fuel pump." She says, "how much is that?" I tell her that it's usually about $750 at GM. She shakes her head and starts turning that key again. I stood there for a moment and said, "ma'am, if you keep doing that you are going to tear up the starter." She says, "I have to get to work." I said, "Can I take you somewhere?" She says, "I'm late and I'm not leaving the car here." And then she starts turning the key again. I stood there for a moment and thought, "What else can I do?" So I left. I left and as I walked away that key just kept turning over and over and over.

Those are our play callers on the forum. Just keep turning that key over. Don't worry about what's actually wrong with the car. Just keep turning that key over. It'll start eventually.

The thing about play calling is that depending on what you've established and the way the defense is playing you, the play that gives you the best chance of success can change. So sometimes it makes sense to to run on third and long and sometimes it makes sense to pass. When you have not established any run game, though, it doesn't make sense to to call a play action pass with two receivers in the route. You'll most likely be facing five or six players in coverage against your two receivers. And the advantage you hope to gain from play action is that you create space in the secondary b/c they delay their drops. You have to feel that this advantage gained is worth more than the time your young QB loses reading the coverage. If it isn't then you just made his job harder. And when the coverage outnumbers your receivers by that much, its possible that you just made his job impossible.

So applying your car analogy, The fuel pump may be bad, but we don't know b/c there isn't a battery in the car. Those who are criticizing the play calling aren't ignoring what's wrong. It is what's wrong. You could replace fuel pumps all you want, but you still have no chance to start the car.

.......that's just the beginning of variables. Which is the point. None of it is discussed. It's rant.

uh...err.... If there was no battery, the car would not turn over. ;)

Those letters in bold.... That is a reach. I've been here. I've read posts. It's not true.

I rarely just rant. I'm not engaging in some emotional outburst without any rational basis. I've observed specific examples of garbage calls all season and I gave specific examples in the post you attacked.

Obviously a car without a battery wouldn't turn over. The point is that it isn't starting and you're looking in the wrong place. And you reading the posts is irrelevant to whether something is wrong or not. The play calling has been bad whether you feel the poster expressed it well or not. It is what's wrong.
