not bad man. How are things with you? The conservatives in pofo have been asking for you lol . Good to see you back........
This is the scenario I was most afraid of. Now all that's left is to hire a guy who has no "cache" factor, and we lose more recruits while not picking up any solid replacements until the new guy shows something for a year or two.
Barring a Gruden hire, things were always going to turn out that way. The new coach has to show the ability to improve the current players in his first year before he can become a credible recruiter. That said, I’m starting to warm up to Randy Edsall as a potential hire. Nothing seems to be happening on the Harbaugh front, sadly. The other options are lukewarm, though I suppose Tuberville is the best option of that group. Barry Jackson says that Will Muschamp is a dark horse candidate, but I don’t see that happening.
Bo Pelini! YES! YES! Man I would love to see his defense philosophy at UM. Absolutely love what he does.
I've heard that Chudzinski is interested; especially if the chargers cant turn it around...that whole staff will be fired.
Honest opinion? UM will get a very good coach out of this search no matter who they choose. Just a matter of time.
The Sun-Sentinel says that Bo Pelini has indeed interviewed with Kirby Hocutt but has not been offered the job.
Nobody will ever admit to interviewing for another job. Would hurt recruiting at their current school.
The Sports Bros, if you believe they have any sources whatsoever, are hearing that the search is coming down to Gary Patterson and Bo Pelini.
Sure, I'll believe...I've already had a major letdown with Gruden last week, so another can't hurt much.
IIRC, they were very skeptical of the Gruden thing. Also, Tuberville is apparently no longer a candidate.
I don't think you can go wrong with either Patterson, Edsall, or Golden. But my gut is telling its somebody out of no where, but someone exciting.
Depends on what you consider exciting IMO. A name that is high on their list that I know is not exciting but a good coach.
Pelini has publicly denied that he’s preparing to interview with UM. Note the phrasing, preparing to interview. He’s not denying that he’s already interviewed, if that’s the case.
Per the Herald Coaching candidates down to three: Trestman has a history developing QB's but if it's down to these three, I'd like to see Edsall get a shot.
No thank you to Trestman. Edsall and Golden I'm fine with. I like what both have done. I'd prefer Edsall.
Really? I'd like Edsal, but Trestman would do a fine job as well as long as they gave him resources to hire a good Defensive Staff as he is much more of an offensive guru type.
