**** the idea of if we will or wont but heres a question.

Lets say we pick around 16-20 draft time. Would a 1st, Henne, 3rd, and a 2nd next year be enough ammo to move up for Luck?

and if not, is anyone else worthy of 1st round rating for QB?

They're not a crappy OL. Henne just can't get the ****ing ball out. Shaun Rogers is the only one consistently getting through. The OL is better than a huge number of offensive lines in this league. Henne makes them look like crap though, plus Long is hurt AND Carey is out.

Being beat by Shaun Rogers in the pass rush is not a surprise. It isn't. Tired of the OL getting the **** blame the whole year while Brown and Williams lack of power, speed and Henne's ridiculously bad pocket presence make them look like ****.

This line is twice the OL of that piece of crap Saban team and yet Frerrote danced that team to far more points than this one.

Our offensive line is just as good as the Rams line. But they have Bradford and we have Henne. That is the difference. We need a QB.

    Sign Mike Vick
    Sign Marty Mornhinweg
    Trade back for Ted Ginn
    Draft a RB

and BOOM you've got the Philadelphia Eagles offense. We'll probably suck and Marty is a terrible HC, but hey we won't lack for excitement and we should be able to score points.

    I'm being sarcastic here people...

No way is that enough to move that high. Not even close. It would take at least 2 number twos.

The Panthers don't need a QB most likely since they just drafted one, so they might be willing to trade. If not we lose out on Andrew Luck. They have to do something and draft a QB in the First Round, something that hasn't been done since Marino. Yeah...it's been that long, no wonder we've been pathetic these past 10 years. Grow a pair and trade up like the Jets did.

That or find one in FA or through trade who is worthy like the Saints did. Oh wait we had our chance with him and sent him to New Orleans. Take solace in the fact that the Dolphins helped the Saints win a Super Bowl.

I'm not getting my hopes up for any of this, I'm sure we'll trot out Henne or some other late round QB or some other team's backup or an injured and aging has-been like we've been doing since 2000.

I think the problem is we traded Ginn jr. Were cursed now! Luck is staying school outside of Luck this isn't a strong QB class. I say we draft the best DB available.

Lets say we pick 16 who is there on offense? Outside Davis who else can cover? I like to think most of the offenses struggles are because of poor QB play and poor play calling.

Smith surely needs more work but the body of work is not bad at all.

I think the game will slow down for him as the season goes on. Being that there is nothing more to play for other than pride.

I'm not sold on Smith as of yet. He has been playing rather well but depth at corner isn't a strength. I just don't see this current Front office going offense round 1.

Sean Smith is having a better year defending the pass than Vontae Davis, so as to who else can cover, there's your answer.

As for the draft, if all you're looking at is QB, then you have Andrew Luck, Nick Foles, Christian Ponder, Ryan Mallett, Jake Locker and Cam Newton straight off the bat, assuming Foles and Newton come out.

    You won't get Luck.

You will get Foles if you're lucky. To me, he's the class of the draft not called Andrew Luck. Locker will break your heart with his decision making, Mallett can be hugely inaccurate and throw costly picks at terrible times.

Ponder has had a down year after two great ones. He's very athletic and accurate, but again makes stupid decisions at times.

Newton has legitimate NFL accuracy, big league arm and is mobile. But needs some work.

If you asked me to pick a QB, I'd say Foles.

You need playmakers on offense. You need to decide who your QB is. You need a new C, a new RT and a new G. You need a new TB. You need a 2nd TE and a return man/deep threat.

All with no 2nd rounder. You could take Stefan Wisniewski, Gabe Carimi, Mark Ingram, Kendall Hunter, Titus Young, etc.

Vontae Davis "character concerns" or Ben Roethlisberger character concerns? Just curious - didn't know he had any issues.

Why not? Based on today's standings, there's not too many drafting way ahead of us who really need a QB. There's the Bills, sure, but then again, they historically like to do the most stupid thing imaginable in round 1 ...

True, but they did just invest a 2nd round selection in Claussen, so one would think they'd be open to give him more than 8 or 9 starts before calling it a waste. I'm not saying there aren't any takers for Luck but compared to your average draft, this one seems to have much less teams in dire QB need at the bottom.

John Fox invested that and I don't know if they are open to that. I read today that they feel Tony Pike is the future, which made me chuckle, but again, its a different coaching staff than the one that will be there next year.

I don't necessarily disagree with you regarding the teams that may be pursuing Luck come Draft day but I did list another possibility.

I know, mate. There's certainly other possibilities. I just wouldn't say "no chance" to Luck just yet. He will prolly not fall down to spot #8 or #10 but I think will definitely be a doable uptrade scenario if you really want him.

If the gurus are confident in Smith would you pass on Prince Amukamara, or Patrick Peterson if they're there? Or do you use them to drop 9-12 spots and get a 2nd rounder for them?or are these guys top 5 locks? Hard to imagine both being top 5 but first time for everything.

They’ll give Tarvaris Jackson a shot in 2011.

As far as Andrew Luck goes… sorry, we have no shot at him. Think Ryan Mallett. Actually, don’t think Ryan Mallett at all. Think Kevin Kolb.
