Well, last week I really did think the Offense would perform better without Marshall than with him, this week it looks like Marshall will be available. But should Sparano play him? I don't know either way, 5 games left, but is it worth playing Marshall in this game and risk aggravating his hamstring injury? To me that is more the question at hand, I think Marshall is dying to get into the game, but is he a 100% necessity vs the Browns? I say no to both questions but that is just me as I prefer to have guys as close to 100% as possible unless there is absolutely no one to replace them who can produce.
If healthy he plays....and with the Deeper Shots we are starting to see Henne get a feel for, I am confident it will benefit the times the ball gets in Marshalls hands.
Here's my selfish reason why I would like BM to start this week. I need you to start because my other WR's on my fantasy team are junk compared to you.
That is the dual problem though, Marshall plays Marlon Moore sits as an inactive. I suppose I am deranged but I went back and watched BM's highlight reel and it surprised me that most of his big plays came from getting open in space, as in he ran drags and crossing routes or had the Cb far enough off of him to make him miss then he just ran hard. Not sure if he can do that with the bum hammy and with the Jets game coming up next week, do you roll the dice?
If he isnt 100% (understanding normal bumps and bruises this time of year) with Hammy...then, no keep him rested for to see if he is vs Jets. However, if he is a go then any other personnel decision is outside the spectrum of the right thing to do to get him on the field. You can find a way to have both BM and MM suited up.
We see this all the time in the NFL. Players rush back after an injury and just re aggravate it. They're hyper competitive and they push themselves too hard. I'd rather have him as close to healthy for the Jets game.
Yes he plays if healthy, no reason not to play. Also, don't be surprised to see Moore Active, we did sign a few guys that play special teams to the practice squad. They could deactivate Wallace and add a player from the practice squad and cut Pruitt.
We'll see, the cynical part of me thinks that maybe you should play him but if he does aggravate the hammy they feel his replacements can play well enough that he really is not missed. Now Reshad Jones fully practiced, so he could bump up to Specials in place of Wallace because Sparano said point blank he was tired of free runners coming through on punts so whomever is missing their blocks on punts is in deep kimchi. IIRC though Folsom did not play on ST, he was rarely active, and Ivey was simply traded out on the practice squad for Micah Johnson, so while Jones will be active, they really did not add anyone who could be called a ST player.
Play the mother grabber......Henne is the leader now, get his *** rounded in to shape Henne Powers.......I want the talent on the field, theres no reason we cant use our 3 receivers appropriately, if Henning cant use a talent like Marshall in his gameplan without affecting his prescious even distribution principles, then he needs to be fired 2maro.
No, save him for the Jets, if hes ready! Part of me wants him to play and go out again cause he tweaked it and then we get to really see what we have in Moore and Wallace for the rest of this season.
Dolphins need to be assured of every win. You can always take him out of the game if the outcome seems pretty well insured. I mean, if you get up by two touchdowns then you can take him out a while. If they start to come back, you have him warm up and get ready to come back in for some more snaps.
Okay, the guy is ultra-competitive. He has been working his *** off night and day to get back and the Dolphins pay him big bucks to get the job done. If he claims to be in playing shape for Sunday you tell the guy, "Okay, take it easy. If you aren't 100% then we'll play you in a limited capacity so you're ready to go against the Jets and Pats." Give Wallace a few more snaps in BM's position.
Regardless of whether he plays or not, it's not like the guy is going to play 60 snaps. He'll be on half-participation at the most, leaving some playing time for Marlon Moore and Roberto Wallace. I just don't see the problem. If he thinks he's healthy enough and the training staff think he's healthy enough, let him have a go at it. And if you get up by two touchdowns, take him out.
Only if he's 100% (or reasonably close to it). I go along with the others that don't want him to aggravate the injury. Rather sit him and have him back at full strength for the Jests. Besides, we seemed to do pretty well without him last weekend. Just sayin.
This game is just as important as any of our other games. We are essentially in the playoffs now, a loss and we are eliminated. If he is able he should play, no point in saving him for anything.
